HelioHost support,

I am a new account and I have messed up access on my site with .htaccess
files. I was trying to create a login to my site so that I could dev
without anyone finding half done code. It is all messed up. Can you reset
to new? After that, I will make better notes and rename files and create
new ones so I can go back.

Regards,

It looks like when you signed up you put a dot . in your email address, and when you emailed us you didn't put a dot in your email address, so our email system didn't link this email to your account properly. (Gmail is so annoying.) I changed your hosting account so it matches where you sent this email from so you won't have this issue again on future emails.

I have reset your account, and you should get a separate email from no-reply@heliohost.org (not support@heliohost.org) with a link to click to continue with the reset process. If you find you are missing any files from before I created a full backup of your account prior to resetting it which you can download from https://heliohost.org/backup/

Let us know if you need help with anything else.

Thank you. I appreciate you. I'll be more careful this time.

HelioHost,

It seems the link wants me to create a new account rather than use my old
account name (annonymous1) yet you said I'd retain my user area and
presumably my login/password. Am I supposed to use the link and setup a new
subdomain other than anonymous1?

About the email address, I originally created it with the period but gmail
will take it with or without. I have sent it to both variants above so I
can see if I get one or two copies of this email. I can let you know if it
matters.

Once again the username annonymous1 was reserved for the email address with a dot . so no one else can steal the username from you. Since the reset went to the email address without a dot the system wouldn't let you use the same username. (Gmail is so annoying.) I have changed the reservation for the username annonymous1 so the email address without the dot can use it again. Try clicking the reset link email again now. Sorry for the inconvenience on this stupid email address not matching.
