HelioHost Posted June 4, 2025 Author Posted June 4, 2025 Dear HelioHost Support, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to request a free SSL certificate (Let's Encrypt) for my domain: Domain: pieterkeeve.co.za The domain is already pointed to your nameservers (ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org), and the site is active. However, it currently only loads via HTTP. I?d love for visitors to be able to access it securely over HTTPS. Please let me know if any further steps are needed from my side. Thank you for your generous hosting service and support. Krydos Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Here are the instructions for installing an SSL certificate. https://wiki.helionet.org/SSL_Certificate_Problems If you've already tried this and are receiving an error message please let us know the full error message.
HelioHost Posted June 4, 2025 Author Posted June 4, 2025 Hi HelioHost Support, I tried installing the Let's Encrypt SSL certificate for my domain pieterkeeve.co.za, but I?m getting this error: ?Could not issue a Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS certificate for pieterkeeve.co.za. The authorization token is not available at http://pieterkeeve.co.za/.well-known/acme-challenge/...? I?ve already: - Verified that my domain points to the correct HelioHost IP via DNSChecker - Uploaded a basic index.html to ensure site is live Could you please help me install the SSL manually or let me know what?s still blocking the validation? Krydos Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 I recommend waiting an hour or two and trying again. Since you recently changed your DNS settings it can take a bit for the changes to propagate through the internet. I'm still seeing some DNS servers around the world serving the old A record.
