We mentioned earlier that we can set up a free something.helioho.st domain for you pointed at your VPS if you want, but you can also use all of your existing paid domains. Your VPS already has Python 3.12 installed if you want to play around with it. You can find the binary at /usr/bin/python3.12

I'm afraid I don't have any experience in that department. I'm willing to study the manual, and will, but I'm about to retire for a while and wanted to throw that out there. If it were me, I'd just re-install the whole thing. and use Debian. Keep the Apache setup like it is. Ubuntu is working fine of course. but there seems to be something up w/ Hestia. See the attached screenrec. Note how the error alert. i was getting that from the beginning, but though it was due to having no files there yet. Not sure. I never really used it. Something I did not sure and I started running into trouble. I was trying to do the config w/ the limited users, but you're right. It's a pain in the ass. Furthermore, he more I got into doing it, I was like. What the hell am I doing? I am one admin for several web sites. I don't need sever website adims. meh. soemthing like that. so, i basically want to start over. There's nothing there. if there is, it should be. thank you! Krydos Posted February 12, 2025 Posted February 12, 2025 It looks like you're trying to edit the files for the domain vps111.heliohost.us. Does it work if you try to edit the files for one of your domains?

Yes, I was able to edit the files using the file manager interface (as shown in the movie) when everything was "working". i am no longer able to use it, and i haven't created a user since noticing this issue. It was functional. I suppose it was fully function, but i don't recall if i'd used the FileManager w/ that admin user. i suppose therein lies another reason to stick w/ one user. Again, I'm willing to focus on debugging it. wanted to make you aware, and that i'm prob closing up shop for a few hours at least. :) have a good evening.
