HelioHost Posted February 17, 2025 Author Posted February 17, 2025 I did not. Or maybe I did. Some of these domans date from pretty far back. i had breaks in ownership of some of them. the netulity sites, i got through ... namecheap. the others were transferred over to stablehost from the original wso.host which is the guy i had the falling-out with. maybe the namesrs.com thing is his? not sure. i don't think i handed that stuff. after my hiatus and came back and worked w/ him again, he didn't give me the access i had prev. and handled the purchasing of the domains. i rem back in the day, in fact. id' go through godaddy because he was a pain in the ass. i guess he's just always kind of been a dick, to be honest. haha. drummer from that band, AM Prophecy: relationships borne of other relationships/ endeavors etc. I was gonna say: Oh. I had it in the car, on the way home. I'll have to remember it. But here's this: i changed the @ / NS / 14400 record to ns1.heliohost.org (for .us) is that as you advised? The domain registrars over whch i have contorl -- AFAIK-- are already pointed to ns1.heliohost.org (i'll double check, but i once did change from .us to .org ) anything else come to mind? Krydos Posted February 17, 2025 Posted February 17, 2025 Yes, if you want to host the domain statecollegeguitarlessons.com with us, you'll need to figure out how to change the NS records to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org.
HelioHost Posted February 17, 2025 Author Posted February 17, 2025 that's so F'd up. (not you). i'm trying to think here. i mean. if StableHost.com has those domains because they were hosting them, aren't they obligated to let me renew them? Krydos Posted February 17, 2025 Posted February 17, 2025 Maybe you should try transferring ownership of those domains to another registrar?

HelioHost Posted February 17, 2025 Author Posted February 17, 2025 that's what i'm talking about. whoever I talked to in the beginning said. No problem. point the domains, make the payment, and we'll do the rest --- regarding, specifically those domains. i was looking for the correspondence, but haven't found it. it would have been approx 10 - 12 days ago. i found some from 11, which seem to be probably after that conversation. but sorry on to a different topic. I wanted to just migrate the site using RSYNC, but it failed. I was wonderifng if we could perhaps figure out how to get rsync configured to work properly. What i have discovered so far. 1.) > jsabarese@vps111 >> CAN RSYNC? HelioHost Posted February 17, 2025 Author Posted February 17, 2025 yeah. that situation irritates me on multiple levels. 1.) i never should have had to deal with it. i had just gotten home from the "trauma center" see https://social.vivaldi.net/@ajaxStardust/111631986738998972 and i guess iwas high on pain killers trying to configure my email. and that dude was on my back about it because it caused him to have to whitelist my IP or some shit. i was like Mu-F'a! you seriously coming at me w/ that, a friend of 20+ years, and i have just been throught the mos miserable experience of my lifetme, alone. i dunno. pissed me off. lol. so that's how i landed w/ those guys. etc. https://social.vivaldi.net/@ajaxStardust/111631986738998972 On Sun, Feb 16, 2025 at 11:49?PM HelioHost Support wrote: > Maybe you should try transferring ownership of those domains to another > registrar? > > You may view the status of your ticket by visiting: > > https://helionet.org/index/index.php?showtopic=63546 > > Thank you, > HelioHost support > https://heliohost.org/ > https://helionet.org/ > >
