fuzmic Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Gurus As i see FTP files in public_html to my local PC is slow I am using Total Commander connection to do this. In the CPanel we can do the zip by the server which is much faster. Then i can download the zip which will take its normal pace. Any suggestion.
wolstech Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Were the files uploaded after the backups were made? If not, you could just download the backup at https://heliohost.org/backup/ If they were added after that, what folder are they in? We can zip them on our end.
fuzmic Posted October 31, 2021 Author Posted October 31, 2021 My files have changed during J! backend installation or updates. Then I want to get an up to date all files I normally zip all the files & then download the zip I get the impression that I don't have to zip & as there is already up to date backup that I can just download. Not sure this is what you mean. Please teach me.
wolstech Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 You misunderstood. There is no updated backup. If the files have changed since the backups became available at the end of July, then you will need to manually download the updated versions…
fuzmic Posted November 1, 2021 Author Posted November 1, 2021 That is why my prior question due to slow zipping speed vs using cpanel compress. Is it possible to zip within the server using FTP or other similar FTP app. Or you mean you guys can make a backup on request.
wolstech Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 You can't do it on your end, but I can do it from the shell. A file called public.zip containing a copy of your current public_html folder has been placed in your home folder.
