Thedefault"PIP install tesseract" is installing older version which is very helpful.I request any version above 4 . Here is the link which I know is working - [i am windows user so not surehow to get latest for linux, but this link worked when I tried in GoogleColab, hence sharing for reference] sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alex-p/tesseract-ocrsudo apt install tesseract-ocr Python 3.x (I hope its already in place)pip3 install pytesseractpip3 install Pillowpip3 install pybase64 Thanks,Atwyndev

So if you see someone sent you a none related topic that doesn't belong here, just ignored. Our Root Admin Krydos will have that install in no time. In meantime, could you list things down that you need to have installed on your Johnny account? This will be easier for us not to get confused. Thanks!

The reason for this is because all of HelioHost's staff are volunteers, and the way we find new volunteers is whoever is most helpful on the forums. People who appreciate our free service can give back to the community by helping to answer simple questions on the forum. I started as a regular user of HelioHost looking for free hosting, and got promoted eventually all the way to CEO. Our system is rather unique though so it tends to confuse people. Another user, like yourself, chose for whatever unfathomable reason to reply to your request for help, rather than creating a new post of his own. I am very muchimpressed on the way it is organized and taking it all together.I just started my journey and willing to contribute as we move forward.Will look at avenues where I can support, and for now , this is all new tome.Will look for areas where I can extend my support. I saw pytesseract is installed, but couldn't find Tesseract installation.When tried to convert an image to text there is error. [Tue May 05 15:13:30.906961 2020] [cgi:error] [pid 2784] [client 122.175.20.104:51651] AH01215: pytesseract.pytesseract.TesseractNotFoundError: tesseract is not installed or it's not in your PATH: /home/atwyndev/public_html/cgi-bin/modulelist.py Can you help me with the path of this installation.In case if it is something I can do, please let me know how to do this. As there is no SSH, I didn't know how to find.
Krydos Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Unfortunately that software cannot be installed on our free shared hosting servers. You'll need a VPS https://www.heliohost.org/vps/ where you will have root ssh access to install almost anything you want.
