biggd Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Greetings, I have 2 domains. One (groovetunez.tk) us associated with a email server, the other (groovetunez.ga) is not. Is there a way I can have email accounts on both domains? Please advise. Thanks!
Luigi123 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 You have to create another email account for groovetunez.ga if you want to use it. When you click the “Create” button in the “Email Accounts”, under the domain tab that shows your primary domain, click on it and choose groovetunez.ga.
biggd Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Thank you for the response. I have created the email address per your instructions but when I try sending to it I get the attached error. What do I need to do to fix this?
wolstech Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 That's because the domain groovetunez.ga doesn't actually exist. You can't have an email address at a non-existent domain. https://bybyron.net/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=groovetunez.ga&rec=ALL There's no DNS records and you get an NXDOMAIN querying it. Visit in your browser and you get an error. Did you actually register that domain? If so, it appears that it's misconfigured, or Freenom cancelled it on you (quite typical of them...they're notorious for this sort of crap).
biggd Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Okay, so if I wanted to create a second domain here on the same account, is that possible and if so how?
Sn1F3rt Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Yep, just use the Add-on Domains feature of cPanel.
wolstech Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Or aliases if it's supposed to show the same content as the main domain. He needs to set that domain's name servers on freenom's site first though.
biggd Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Thanks for the help. So can I use the nameservers here?
wolstech Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Yes. In fact, you have to. The system won't let you add it otherwise. They need to be set to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org
