cridus Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Hello. A few weeks ago, I was already on Tommy and Tomcat was either being very slow or had crashed/was stuck, so I reported the problem on the Discord support chat. Over there, I was told that if I would move to Johnny it would have relieved some of Tommy's load, so I accepted, expecting (obviously) that Johnny's Tomcat would fare better. It doesn't. It's unusable almost all the time (most of the times I have to wait several minutes to load a static html page). I can't go on like this, so, can I please be moved back to Tommy? I didn't make a thread to be moved to Johnny that time, Krydos moved me almost on-the-fly after I agreed in the chat. Thanks in advance.
wolstech Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Done. Please clear your browser cache and flush your DNS resolver cache if you see a 404 or queued message. You'll need to request Java again though unless Krydos can turn this back on for you. I don't have the ability to do that. @Krydos: Can Java be restored for this user or does he need to wait in line again? He moved Tommy->Johnny a few weeks ago and moved back to Tommy today because Johnny's uptime sucks.
cridus Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) wow, so fast! Thank you! edit: It seems Java is already enabled too. Edited January 6, 2020 by cridus
wolstech Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Oh. I'm surprised it kept the Java. I wasn't aware that would transfer with an account... Marking solved then
cridus Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 So, if I'm getting a 404 on a static page in the "public_html" folder does it mean I have to flush the dns? And, more or less, when will the page become viewable again by everyone? It's the page with the privacy policy of my application and if it's not visible Chrome and/or Mozilla might send a warning to make me fix it (my app is the backend of a Chrome extension & Firefox add-on).
Luigi123 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Yes, if you do see a 404 page, clear your browser page and flush the DNS. EDIT: It depends on your viewers if they able to see your site without having seeing an error. It’s just only your browser if you actually see an error.
cridus Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) The page still can't be found after flushing the DNS and even using another browser. I tried with my phone too.Is it just a matter of time? Edit: For some reason also any call I make to my application either gives me the error page or stays there loading and the browser says "the connection was reset". I did re-deploy my .war (without modifying anything) and there's no error in its logs... I don't know what to do...The "errors" view in cPanel shows nothing. Edited January 6, 2020 by cridus
Flaze Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Krydos has to look into this. It might have something to do with your account being moved.
cridus Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 I don't know if you guys did something, but now it's working!
wolstech Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Sounds like Tommy got its act together (Accounts sometimes take a little while to work once they get moved, looks like Java is the same way...). Solved.
Luigi123 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Please also note that if you do see a queue page on your main domain, it takes up to 24 hours.
