HelioHost Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Username: intekhab, Server: Tommy, Main domain: felinetech.heliohost.org I already have an account on tommy. Will it possible to get a 2ndaccount on another server? I can make another donation for that ifrequired.
qsgt Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 It is already possible to host multiple websites on one account and Tommy is the fastest server available. Why do you require a second account?
HelioHost Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 Thank you for your quick reply. I actually want to host a backup site type of thing on another serverso in case tommy is down (or there is a network issue), I can sendpeople to the other site for the information they need. HelioHost Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 So i'll have to create a 2nd helio user account with a different emailaddress and then proceed signup (and send donation) choosing a differentserver? wolstech Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 What he meant is you're not allowed to have a second account at all. Creating a second account will result in suspension for violating the TOS. You won't be able to create the second one anyway because the domain can only belong to one account at a time. The second account will fail to create due to the domain being owned by another user (your current account). If you try to work around this, you'll find it impossible to get your content to show due to the domain not being attached to the account (it'll be permanently queued). To be honest, Tommy's uptime is pretty good such that I never bothered to do this in the 8 years I've been with HelioHost. I run 3 production websites on him and see maybe a few minutes of downtime per week, mostly in the early morning hours (at least it's early morning EDT...)
