alden Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Account name: aldenserver: Tommy (I think)main domain: alden.heliohost.org My account has been suspended. The account should get little traffic (about 5 hits/day) and there's nothing posted in there that should breach your rules. Can you take a look and see if there is some problem I am not aware of. I do have a wordpress site on there and I see that this is causing a problem with other accounts. If it is the wordpress issue and you have to delete the contents of the account can you fix it so I can create a new account with the same username?. Please advise me on my next course of action once you have taken a look.Cheers, Alex
alden Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 Just a further thought. The wordpress installation is on a sub domain - purely limited to a sub folder within the site. If the problem is wordpress would it be possible just to remove this sub folder and sub domain and leave the rest of the site active?
wolstech Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Yes its compromised due to WordPress being hacked. The malware spreads outside of WP once it gets in, and usually infects every index.php on the account, along with htaccess. It also tends to drop random-named PHP files in lots of folders that can be later used as back doors. Because of this, the entire account is typically considered lost. I can fetch databases for you though (except the WP database) if you need them. An invite will be sent for a new account shortly.
alden Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 Thanks. I don't need any files from the old account. If you could send me a folder map of public.html (ie where all the site files are situated) that would be helpful, as I will want to rebuild the site with the same folder structure.
wolstech Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 What's the username of your new account? I'll drop the listing file in the home folder for you.
