Are you using email forwarding or alias? I would assume forward is just for

external forwarding and alias is good for local alias of a name to an

account. How is your forwarding configured after I go through the Email

Forwarding section of the console? If I have an account 'blaine' and I

setup a forward from 'blaine.browning' to 'blaine' in the console, is it

really forwarded or is an alias created? The UI isn't explicit if I map '

running@bgb.net' to 'skiing@bgb.net' if that is created as a forward or

alias. Surely if would be a forward if it was external; 'running@bgb.net'

to 'running@runnersworld.com' but are you forwarding locally?

Thanks,

Blaine

In cpanel the alias button is actually for domains. Say your main domain is bgb.heliohost.org then you could add bgb.net as an alias and both domains would show the same content.

The forwarding buttons in cpanel are for sending email from one email address to another automatically. It works both locally and externally. You can forward from an account on your cpanel to another account on your cpanel locally or you can forward from an account on your cpanel to another email service like gmail or something externally.

Thanks - I was actually referring to email aliases. You can create email ali=

ases but it sounds like you guys forward regardless if it is a local to loca=

l account.=20
