miwilc Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 It appears to be that the <ref></ref> tags are not working on the wiki, do I need to manually add footnotes? (which seems like too much work ) Or am I doing something wrong. To provide context, I was creating a wiki page for setting up flask based on the forum post by Krydos which I wanted to add a footnote to the original post. Link: http://wiki.helionet.org/Flask Quote
wolstech Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 We don't have that functionality. It's not part of MediaWiki, but rather an extension called Cite that we don't have. http://wiki.helionet.org/Special:Version (it would show here if we had it). Quote
Krydos Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 I could probably install that extension, but that would likely involve upgrading our undoubtedly ancient mediawiki install. I'll put it on the todo list, but don't expect it to have a particularly high priority level. I meant to write that, but haven't gotten around to it. My post about piping an email to a script should probably have a wiki page at some point too. It's really awesome that you're helping out like this miwilc. Quote

I noticed, but shouldn't it be better to upgrade to a LTS version, for the security fixes if nothing else? Also it would probably be easy to revert the changes from a backup. Thanks by the way. Krydos Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 This post about how to start and stop infinite loop scripts might be useful to have a wiki page too https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/29129-python-script-behavior/?p=132451 Quote
