But is it good to access directory content insecurely! I don't think so! @byron

Right now it's the only choice you have until we get this figured out. btw, I've always just used plain ftp. I'm not scared! ;)

These settings aren't working too.

instead, i used "Only use plain FTP(insecure)"

Your steps threw these errors:

Status:	Resolving address of tommy.heliohost.org
Status:	Connecting to 65.19.143.6:21...
Status:	Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status:	Initializing TLS...
Status:	Verifying certificate...
Status:	TLS connection established.
Status:	Logged in
Status:	Retrieving directory listing of "/public_html"...
Command:	CWD /public_html
Response:	250 OK. Current directory is /public_html
Command:	TYPE I
Response:	200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary
Command:	PASV
Response:	227 Entering Passive Mode (65,19,143,6,87,213)
Command:	MLSD
Error:	Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error:	Failed to retrieve directory listing

Thanks, I'll update my image to show only Plain FTP.

My filezilla is up to date. I just connected no problem using an FTP client on my phone. Maybe it's a firewall issue? Do you have any other ftp clients you recommend that I can test with?

Change your encryption to "Only use plain FTP (insecure)" like you see in the attachment.

Change the "Use Explicit FTP over TLS" shown in Byron's pictures on page 1 to "Only use Plain FTP (insecure)", specify port 21, and try it again (Byron's earlier port 21 post resulted in FZ autodetecting to FTPS, as evidenced by the line indicating Initializing TLS...).

Does it work in that configuration?

And here's another one also seeing this issue too: http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/27146-tommy-accounts/page-5?do=findComment&comment=125589

Thanks. Updated: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6b5fnsy5b6cpvg3/filzilla-ftp-s.png?raw=1
