GameClaw_268 Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 unless governments recognize the problem... but thats not gonna happen
HerLoss Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Even if they did they wouldnt do anything about it cuz mass population reduction wouldnt go over too well with the general citizen population.
PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 people need to die, and people need to stop [bleeped!]. Yes, I mean, I think people should just rely on the existing medicines that we have today, people should not live forever. But people shouldn't stop [bleeped!], they just need more contraceptives.
Korps Commander Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 Perhaps many countries should have laws that regulate how many times you can have a child.........
PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Perhaps many countries should have laws that regulate how many times you can have a child......... That is a concept that I have imagined, but it would be difficult for any government to enforce this type of regulation. To learn more about this, I suggest, "Among the Hidden" by Haddix.
Korps Commander Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 Yes, that is a slightly frightening book. HERE COME THE POPULATION POLICE!!!! Although they did an effective job.................
PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Yes, that is a slightly frightening book. HERE COME THE POPULATION POLICE!!!! Although they did an effective job................. Yes, but only in fantasy can there be such a perfect and yet imperfect world.
Korps Commander Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 Well, the Soviet secret police was as ruthless as the Population Police, and the Soviet Union definitely was strong for like 40+ years..............
PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Well, the Soviet secret police was as ruthless as the Population Police, and the Soviet Union definitely was strong for like 40+ years.............. That is because the civilians were too weakminded to think for themselves and fight against the authority.
Korps Commander Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 Exactly the case in Among the Hidden and its sequels..............
PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Exactly the case in Among the Hidden and its sequels.............. No, there were people who rebelled in the Hidden series. For instance, Jenses died at a rally.
Korps Commander Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 Jenses? Do you mean Jenny? Anyway, there were not enough people against the government to make a real difference to the political system. I feel sorry for the shadow children in the last book so far. I mean, the government gets overthrown.....only to be replaced by the feared Population Police.

No, in the last book they are saved and then prepare meals.
Korps Commander Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 The Government is saved and prepares meals? Because you just contradicted my sentence about the government and Poppos, and said that they get saved and prepare meals. (?)
