eeze Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Hello! Ever since switching to HelioHost, ns2.heliohost.org has been throwing an error on DNS testers. I have seen this occur through multiple DNS check tools such as http://www.intodns.com, http://dnscheck.pingdom.com, and http://www.dnsstuff.com over the past few weeks. DNS servers responded ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond: The ones that did not respond are: 64.62.211.133 Reverse MX A records (PTR) ERROR: No reverse DNS (PTR) entries. The problem MX records are: 170.192.218.216.in-addr.arpa -> no reverse (PTR) detected You should contact your ISP and ask him to add a PTR record for your ips I do not know if these are related to my sporadic outages when http://www.siteuptime.com pings the domain on a 30 minute interval. Not sure if this is a serious issue, but I figured I should bring it to your attention. www.almazdentistry.comalmazden Thanks again for everything!
wolstech Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 The first error is NS2 being down, which happens very frequently. The Heliohost server monitor shows that it hasn't been able to get data on it for the past several days. It's hosted on the same server as Johnny and is impacted by high load a lot, although the several days worth of "no data" entries in the server monitor look more like something broke. As long as NS1 is up, your site will still work. The PTR record warning has to do with reverse DNS for mail and is not an issue.

I've never seen NS2 respond over the past few weeks.
