surfcss
I recently installed Windows Vista Final - Build 6000. I spent a week downloading it (4.6gb), - it seems it was well worth the wait. While alot of people don't like Vista, and have complained about it, I find it stunning (look and feel etc). The interface is completely different to that of XP, most things are completely different, you'll have to get used to it like u did with XP after 98. Anyone else running Vista - please comment on it. Kyougi
IMO, it's too much of a resource [bleeped!]. It's nice for the business world, but for gaming, not so much.
Quantum Media LLC
is windows vista free to download and how long will it run for free?
1337
is windows vista free to download and how long will it run for free? If you had RC1 when free sign ups were open (about 1 1/2 to 2 months ago) you could get a free copy of RC1 (Build 5600) that lasts until May 31, 2007. If you didn't, sorry, you'll have to wait until January.

Dragonfire
I read somewhere that microsoft was not making vista genuine but that was quite some time ago even before they brought out that validation tool, so does anyone have news about that? are they putting that validation tool in vista? surfcss
Vista is fine for gaming as long as u have the correct drivers. Currently Nvida and ATI drivers are Beta. FYI VISTA BLOWS....I STRONGLY RECOMEND NOT USING IT!!!! No it doesn't. I'm yet to find a bug in Vista.

XP uses less resources and has better compatibility than Vista.
Dragonfire
i would recommend you people to wait till it is made sure that vista doesnt have any bugs and all the bugs are fixed then get it if you people want it now you could get the theme of vista which could be installed on windows xp, just download the bricopack's vista inspirat
gma
vista has nice things too it, but it is kinda unstable (as usual new products from Microsoft are). Best wait a while until using it. I also heard, like you guys said, that it is better for business than gaming.
