lrj Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I created my website on heliohost few days ago . But When I try to visit it in china , it is unreachable . However, I can visit it through proxy . So I try to ping my domain and all the requests are rejected . I think it is the ISP who blocked the IP my website points to. So could you do me a favor and point my website to another IP ? Many thanks ! My username: lrj945 My website : milaoya.heliohost.org
Krydos Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
cl58 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Please see http://wiki.helionet.org/International_Countries By the way, sorry I didn't answer you on IRC before. I was busy preparing for a hurricane
Krydos Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 However, we can easily move your site onto a separate IP address to solve this issue and allow Chinese users to access your site. To do this, please create a new topic in the Customer Service forum on HelioNet. Please state clearly that you are a Chinese user and you wish to move to a Shared IP. I have seen numerous threads reporting that Chinese government blocks heliohost and that sometimes changing their ip address on their account can help. Unsure how to do this myself or if I even have access to do this.
jje Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 djbob only has the ability to give a user a Shared IP; support admins can't.
Brother Hassan Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Please see http://wiki.helionet.org/International_Countries By the way, sorry I didn't answer you on IRC before. I was busy preparing for a hurricane I hope you live through it It would be really bad for the support at HelioHost if one of the admins just disappeared
lrj Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Thanks all of you . I'll create a new topic. @cl58, may you well in the hurricane.
Krydos Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Ok, de-escalating this one since you decided to make another. Don't need duplicates escalated.
jje Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Closing, since you created another topic for your request
cl58 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Just to let you all know: the hurricane past. I'm fine
