Please check the link and se if you can solve that error. I am sorry if i posted this in wrong place.
Krydos Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Have you created the database that it's trying to access properly including user accounts and access permissions? I would recommend changing the username to something else. Most people just create an account with just as much access as it needs to run the php script. You can create databases and users and all that through cPanel. Just make sure you change the php script to use the users and databases you create.
sumsar2 Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 Ok I will se if that works out. How much acces should i give the user?
Krydos Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Ok I will se if that works out. How much acces should i give the user? That depends on what the script needs to do. If it takes user input and inserts it into the database it will need write access to do that, but if it's just reading data out of there it will only need read (select) access. If in doubt and you're not worried too much about security you could just grant the account full access (all privileges.) Also if you didn't write this script yourself it might be helpful to ask the author what all is needed to get it up and running.
Krydos Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Glad your problem got solved! Please spare a few minutes to take our brief survey:http://feedback.heliohost.org/Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated.
Krydos Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Another question: Is there anyway for me to change my username to Sumsar? Yes it is possible, unfortunately I don't think I have the access to change that, or if I do I simply don't know how. I've seen others have their display name changed before though so it's certainly possible. @admins Let me know if I have access to do this. I looked around a bit but couldn't figure out how.
Krydos Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 HelioHost username or HelioNet username? His Heliohost username is already sumsar so I was assuming he meant Helionet.
cl58 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 @sumsar2 - Do you want your username, display name, or both changed to Sumsar?
jje Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 @Krydos - Only admins can change HelioNet usernames
