Hello, The access logging for the domains on my account stopped on the 11th. I think this happened once before after Tommy's /var became full.

I just noticed that the HTTP access logs for my website (which is on Tommy) all stopped updating on October 16th. Both the main and sub domain log files have not been modified since, I wish I'd checked sooner. I can't see how I could have stuffed this up, so I guess it's a server issue. Main domain is: computernerdkev.heliohost.org Thanks for reading. EDIT: The log files in the "Current Raw Access Logs" section of the cPanel raw access logs page have been updating. It's the "archived" logs kept in ~/logs that stopped on Oct. 16th. On the same page: "Archive logs in your home directory at the end of each stats run every 24 hours." is checked. "Remove the previous month’s archived logs from your home directory at the end of each month." is unchecked. I'll delete some old ones in case there's a problem with having too many archived logs in the directory (though that would be a pretty poor bug).

Hi team, I have few questions regarding the Tomcat installation: 1) I am able to reach my website over HTTPS, for example: https://shuffly-backend.heliohost.org/. Anyway, I am not able to reach the war application in my Tomcat over HTTPS, it works only over HTTP. Is it possible to extend the HTTPS protection to the Tomcat applications too? 2) Is there a way for us to read the Tomcat logs? It would be very helpful to check my war logs. As an alternative, can I configure my application to log in an accessible folder visible from the File Manager webpage (as an example, /home/shuffly/logs/)? Thanks for the support!

I've been waiting for the HTTP access logs to be enabled on Stevie since this news post indicated that it would occour after a trial on Johnny. As the lack of log access has been my no. 1 issue with Heliohost, it's been a bit disappointing to see no mention of this upgrade since 2015. So I figured I'd make a bit of noise and perhaps at least find out if it's still going to happen, or whether I can finally stop checking http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/raw/index.html

Hi, First, a big thank you for your free hosting service, and for offering such features as Django and PostgreSQL, which is not so frequent. I have a problem loging in to access Apache logs. While my regular FTP account works fine, the account used to access Apache logs doesn't work : Name (FTP.garipipok.heliohost.org:afrehel_logs): afrehel_logs 331 User afrehel_logs OK. Password required Password: 421 Home directory not available - aborting ftp: Login failed. The home directory of the afrehel_logs user is /home/domlogs/afrehel, which apparently doesn't exist. I suspect this directory is wrong, it should be /home1/domlogs/afrehel instead as the home directory for user afrehel is /home1/afrehel. But it's just a guess. Here are my account informations: domain name: garipipok.heliohost.org username: afrehel server name: stevie.heliohost.org Thanks in advance. Regards Garipipok

Hello Support-Team, I have got a web server running on stevie. Actual, I wanted to see my access logs from apache but I couldn't find them in my home directory via ftp. When I click to "Latest Visitors" in cPanel, it just says : "There are no domains which have last visitors stats to display." If I can't get the origin apache logs, how can I enable the visitor stats ? f4stdev

Hi, I'm quite new at Heliohost, I created my account a few weeks ago. I created my first website, based on latest wordpress 3.4.2, without any additional plugins. I added just a few test themes, added some notes, and I didn't published the website's address nowhere yet. Yesterday (22nd of Nov, at 19:26 to be precise), my main index.php was deleted and replaced by index.html, containing some turkish video on YT, and words "Rea_pErz Was Here". Also the hacker added wordpress theme "This Is Rea_pErz's Shell", written in PHP (of course, I downloaded the files and deleted from the account immediately after). Now, I'm starting to reinstall wordpress and database, change passwords, check all my computers against trojans and viruses, etc. I found, that there was such case on heliohost before - see http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/12493-wordpress-blog-hacked-by-rea-perz/ I have several thoughts on that: - I know that website stats are disabled, but can I access some apache logs? Perhaps I could find out, how someone managed to hack my website? - My password was of medium strength, but it wasn't dictionary word. I guess, that hacker managed to enter the site by some SQL Injection rather, than by password guessing. - how can I protect myself against such attacks, apart from not using plugins in wp, having strong passwords and making backups? - I wonder, how the attacker got address of my website - it was parked domain, made from SeveralConcatenatedPolishWords.pl - there is very small chance someone just guessed the name. - I tried to use user_logs ftp account, to see if I can access some logs, but server dropped the connection with message "home directory not found". I also see, that /var on stevie is 99% full. - I know I have unpaid account, but can I make support request out of this? Such cases can influent more people than me - the hacks could be because of my misconfiguration, but also because of some features of heliohost. I'm not blaming anyone, just I am thinking what do do next.
