  1. Thank you very much Krydos and wolstech! The problem appears to have originated from between the keyboard and the chair. Appreciate the swift response.
  2. Greetings HelioHosters, I have got a question regarding inactivity suspension. My account was moved to Plesk and I am have logging in at tommy2 subdomain. This may not be detected by the activity scripts, and last month, I was suspended for inactivity even though I logged in at tommy2. I am unable to login normally at hellohost.org/login after the Plesk move because it says my account doesn’t exist. I had to wait for my account to suspend, and revive it using the automated tool. This is getting tedious so I was wondering if anyone experienced the same? many thanks
  3. Dear HelioHost, Could you please inform me why my website was suspended? Unless it has been hacked, my website is relatively unpopular and should have very low activity (basically a WordPress site). a. HelioHost username: misc314 b. Server: Should be Tommy, migrated from Stevie c. Main domain: misc314.com Please let me know how I can rectify this issue. Thanks very much!
  4. Dear HelioHost, As per this Twitter thread, I would love to be able to create a cert through cPanel, as well as have it automatically stay updated! Will this feature be released in near future? Fantastic service as always. Love you guys! Warm regards, Misc314
  5. Thank you as always Krydos! My domain is now working, and I am re-enabling Cloudflare. While it has caused headaches in the past, it certainly was a good tool for combating spam. Yes, I would love to have my forum username be misc314, albeit '2' is the correct rounding for the next digit for pi sequence. Thank you so much!
  6. Hi dearest HelioHost team, Thanks for your service thus far. I have been a Stevie user for years, and the hosting service has been marvellous! I'm really sorry about Stevie, and I hope it can be brought back to life in near future. It's ironic how Johnny is the one that's alive and kicking Meanwhile, I would love to transfer to Tommy if that's okay. Username: misc314 Domain: www.misc314.com Server: stevie (dedicated IP) Here's my continued support for your wonderful service. PP TransactID: 240302227V105832M I have tried reading the forum, but how can I transfer my domain? In particular: Can I re-use my HelioHost/HelioNet username and/or email?Any changes to DNS?I have backups, but admittedly not of the most recent. If I moved to Tommy and Stevie survived, can I recover my data then?It would be great if you could link me to an info page with details of registering to Tommy, if such page is available. Thank you so much and best regards.
  7. Thank you. For closure: It didn't do the trick so I changed my account password to the same password again. Now I can log into phpmyadmin. After noticing all my data are intact although it says 0.00 MB, I did a few tests and finally deleted the database user and recreated them. Works like a charm.
  8. Hello HelioHost, I have a few databases that can't be edited. Could you please restore them? They are showing 0.00 Mb and once I removed a user, they can't be added back. Username: misc314 Server: Stevie (dedicated server) Database: misc314_adserverstatus, misc314_kendolist, misc314_projects, misc314_wpblog URL: http://misc314.com Thank you very much for your time. And congratulations for the update. I can't be more excited about this. No more down time!
  9. Thank you Krydos <3 It now works. Funny that in my trial I, too, renamed it and clear cache / use another browser but it didn't work. Perhaps I didn't allow enough time for changes to take effect? Anyway, thanks for pointing out the issue and thanks to wolstech and nyten too UPDATE: (For closing) Turns out my .htaccess was really badly written. It would redirect anything to include www, and this includes any subdomains. I believe it's interfering with the default actions, so at times keepit.misc314.com would redirect to www.keepit.misc314.com/keepit/ and other times it would just fail. Now Krydos has pointed out the error, the sub domains work and /keepit/ is no longer accessible as I hope it would be. I've also rewritten my htaccess to play nice with subdomains and it works. I've added back CloudFlare and 10 minutes later, all my sub domains works after initially getting server error. I've also discovered some sub domains appear to work even without adding A record in CloudFlare, although I personally advice against it. Thanks to everyone once again. I've learnt a lot.
  10. Argh I was really lazy about fixing this but I'll remove CloudFlare and try again. Thank you
  11. Sorry. I just realised for some reason this is a double post of http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/21791-how-to-create-subdomains/ For this reason, I'll be closing this topic.
  12. Thank you for your inputs Perhaps I'll try to skip CloudFlare some other days. While I started using CloudFlare only last year, I have been experiencing this issue right from day one. Subdomains have never worked for me (with exception of secure.misc314.com) and weirdly they are treated as a folder. Accessing misc314.com/secure/ gives an error so this hints that a subdomain shouldn't function as a normal directory. Thus I infer that all other subdomains (eg keepit.misc314.com) aren't, for some reasons, set up correctly as they can be accessed using misc314.com/keepit/ I have tried setting up A record as per nylen's suggestion, but I have it pointing to 64.62.214.2 (my website IP) instead. This didn't work. Any other suggestions are appreciated
  13. Hello Heliohost, I understand what a subdomain is, but I have difficulties creating a subdomain. Example, If I created a subdomain "keepit", keepit.misc314.com will not work. My browser returns server error. However, visiting misc314.com/keepit works. How I create my subdomains: 1. In cPanel, click 'Subdomains' 2. Type in 'keepit' and choose my domain as 'misc314.com'. The path is automatically generated. 3. Press the OK button and received a successful message. 4. I do not use any redirections. I have tried creating several domains to date, but none of them worked, with the exception of one: http://secure.misc314.com My almost one year old subdomain still doesn't work, so it can't be that DNS lag thingamajig. I really appreciate if anyone could point out where I went wrong. I am on Stevie btw. Thank you very much.
  14. Hi hi! Don't worry, everyone has free accounts! I assume you are on Stevie. Stevie MySQL broke recently (and I thought they are gonna fix it for good). Mod, do you mind telling us if the upgrade was done? It's quite confusing... :P/&--#62; FIX: Cannot login PhpMyAdmin: In cPanel, change your password. Log out and in again. User have been denied access (you get error when using scripts): In cPanel, delete and recreate your user. Remember to reassign the user to the database. Good luck.

  16. Thank you wolstech. You're like a magician! For others having similar issue, here's what I did. Your dedicated IP address (if you pay $12 -- charges from providers that HelioHost passes to us) can be found in cPanel; copy that. Go to CloudFlare website and paste the IP address into all A records with old (shared) IP address. You'll need to wait, and for my case, a few hours is enough. Final touches: Self-signed SSL without browser errors. Go to cPanel Generate new KEY and CRT files (copy those on a notepad). In the "Install SSL" section, paste them in again (the Fetch button didn't work for me). Finally hit the install button. What I've done is generating and setting up a self-signed SSL. It's good for encryption, but it's not good for verifying who you say you are. This is important if you are doing a business, but I just need the encryption. So: In CloudFlare, choose "Full SSL" as your Universal SSL setting. This is so the path now looks like this: Browser <------ Comodo cert -----> CloudFlare <----- Self signed cert -----> Heliohost This actually means your visitors get a valid cert and will be happy (no validation error messages), while you get the full encryption! Pretty cool huh!
  17. HH Username: misc314 Server: Stevie with dedicated IP address HH domain: misc314.com Hi, After getting dedicated IP address recently, I tried to experiment with htaccess, changing it from # Remove www and add /blog if domain.com is requested RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www.)?misc314.com$ RewriteRule ^(/)?$ blog [L] to a code found online: RewriteEngine On # Add www for http RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.(.*)$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] # Add www for https RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.(.*)$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] # Redirect to /blog/ if domain.com requested RewriteRule ^$ /blog/ [R=301] which appeared to trigger this queue thingamajig. I have tried removing these scripts, waiting for 24 hours and clearing cache; all of which did nothing. I'm not asking for code support, but I figured it might be useful to you admins. Please do tell me if I'm the cause, so I can be careful in the future. Thank you and sorry for the trouble.
  18. Hi, In case needed, my domain is misc314.com Thank you.
  19. Hello HelioNet staff, Thank you very much for your hosting service, as always. I'm no professional programmer but with your free service I can continue to experiment on web programming. I've transferred $12 to HelioHost, Paypal receipt 38J36202GK813661J. My username is misc314 and I'd like my account to be moved from Stevie to its SSL part, please. Thank you very much.
  20. Hi. I was poking around and it seems sign in is still possible here, but not sure if it resets the 30 days counter. (Support staff, please inform me on this?) Cheers
  21. Thank you. It wasn't a cache problem. 1. After previous suspension, I was able to use my website well. 2. I received an email notifying about inactivity suspension. After you replied, and up till now, I had been receiving 500 Internal Server Error message (instead of suspension page). But now I am able to access it fine. Thank you very much
  22. Hello HelioHost/HelioNet! Please forgive my stupidity. I forgot to login into my control panel this month, and my account has been suspended. I received my email explaining inactivity suspension and was given a link to renew script. However, the renew script doesn't work ("we cannot find that account in database" error) and neither does normal logging in (incorrect username/password). Could anyone please advice me on the matter. Thank you very much for your consideration! Username: misc314 Server: Stevie Domain: misc314.com If it helps, this error was probably due to complications from my last suspension, when my file was wrongly flagged as a virus by your system Any ways to reset this complication? Thanks!
