Yup sometimes with some softwares for creating some webpages. The software that created the pages, that looked nice on the Windows PC. But the thing is that the source codes of the pages indicate that the images is on your Windows PC not on the web. So when the pages are hosted and apear, the page sometimes show some "broken image icons". This is because that the source code of your pages where your images are, should be pointed to the place you host your files on the web and not on your computer.

I'm from Canada and my city is Montreal, wich is into the province of Quebec. Canada is at the north of the US.

I wonder if you could make possible to unlock my email from Tommy, so that i can signup with the same email on Ricky and use Ricky? What is mostly important is that i keep the same domain name, not only for my self but for peoples that knows my web address. Thank's for your time. A+

I have tryed to signup with my same email to be on Ricky, but the thing is that it return back to the page (Account Status) where it say: The server that you picked is currently down for extended maintenance. If you require your website to be online as soon as possible we recommend downloading your backup and then creating a new account on Ricky or Johnny. So i'm kinda in a signup loop. Also creating a new e-mail to be on Ricky, i think it would be unfair to do so. Because it would be like having some MB space on Tommy and some MB space on Ricky. I dont want to abuse the servers. Beside i think of the many peoples that would also like to be on Heliohost servers and space. I wonder if on Ricky it have the same features (like Tommy) as CPanel, Space for the pages, bandwith, e-mail, Virusscan, Php, Flash, Html, CSS, etc? Thank's for doing the backup of my personnal free website. It's been at leass 9 years i'm with you, and i think that every files seem there. It is writen on: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/36577-backups-available/ That you plan on wipping and installing the new hard drive on august 20th So i am not sure if the backup should be put on august 20th, maybe august 21th or later? I'm pretty sure that many peoples wonder when to put back there backup on Tommy? Also since it will be a new installation, does the server gonna still have the name of Tommy or be called an other thing as: SylvainLikeHH (suggested ) i would be happy of it? A thing that is important for my self and for peoples that know my website is that i keep my domain name: http://sylvain.heliohost.org For the backup i have my " .tar " file. Also in your message you have writen: If your backup contains any databases they will be in username_db.sql format. To restore the database first create it in cPanel, open PhpMyAdmin, select the database, click import, click choose file, and select the .sql file. When i have extracted the files as an admin, i have searched if i have some _db file; so i dont think that i have some database. So i think that i can not restore the backup with your instructions? What i would like then if some admin could with the " .tar " backup file put it back on the server? But i wonder and i hope that the backup file would not make some conflict with the server (that's what i'm affraid) i dont want that it would currupt the new installation and cpanel? It is always important for my self to be correct and my knowledges are small, so i think it would be better if an admin could do it for me (if possible) since i know that you are very busy! When i go on my personnal free website i see an other page showing that it is under current maintenance. I see some "hard drive image". I have a suggestion (if you want), you could replace the "hard drive image" with this one at: http://www.nospagesweb.com/sitesweb/sylvain/portfolio/images/under_construction.gif It's a very old site that i have made many years ago, that have my image "under_construction.gif" that is funny and make peoples simle. Snowm, i like these guys very much! It's been 9 years i'm with them, so i can say i have notice the progress and efforts they have made trough the years. I can say somehow that me too i do some volonteer as many that administrate Heliohost. Not doing some volonteer as an administrator, but my free personnal website; have free things for peoples; and i give my free time to them without having some money from it. Admins have helped me with my free search engine, contact form and many things. Trough time i have found free things for peoples and make them known for peoples that have gone on my free personnal website. Put some links and put some friends links and many more. When you put the logo there is many things to think about a website. Me when i create a website i think of many things The website must be compatible with many operating systems, with many web browsers. For intelligent devices it must respond (as on android), my website as example: if you see it with a smart android phone you see it some way; and when you simply rotate the same phone then it auto-adapt. There is also the weight in (MB) of your pages. I know many peoples have high speed these day's, but there are regions that still dont have high speed. Like some house in some rocky mountains, where there close neighbourgh is like at 5km of distance. Also there is many peoples that use there phone to be on the web, but have some bandwith limits even have some internet limit zone; where when they are outside of there internet wifi zone of there company, it can cost them very much. Bailey I think it is possible to make the Heliohost logo transparent First you save the Heliohost logo that you want. Second you dont resize the Heliohost logo, this is simply to respect there logo properties. I have used many company images and made there images have some transparency into free pdf guides i have created. Of course i have asked an e-mail from them giving me the permissions and authorizations that i can capture there images (screenshots). This by respect of the authors and by respect of the copyrights. If you are curious then my last free pdf guides i have created for company's for now is: "Templatetoaster TT Pdf Guide" and "Mamewah free pdf guide" So like that you can see it is possible to put some transparency. Second thing you must know is that the image should be saved in ( png ) format. Because this type of file can have transparency info's. Also that this format is commonly known and compatible worldwide. You should then use some software to put some transparency. I suggest two softwares to make some transparency. You must know how to create layers (layered images). Software 1: Adobe Photoshop CS2, this is a soft that i had used or Software 2: Gimp.org ( it's a free soft that you can also do some layer images) it do fiew things similar as Adobe Photoshop Third thing You create 2 layers in your photo software. I dont know your knowledges, so i would say layers is like some "floors". You create an empty layer, then the Heliohost logo on an other layer. I know that it is not necessary to have an empty layer, it is just so that you can do some practices. The Heliohost logo image, there is a function that you can "adjust" the transparency of the image. Mostly in percentage. You then save the image in "png" format and put it on your site. I have tested and i can send messages, i have put some signature telling that the e-mail cant receive messages. Suspending the incoming messages, is the only way i have found. This for sending and not receiving. But i hope that i have done correctly with my small knowledges?? A+

I have tryed an other option and i wonder if it has been done correctly?? When i am into Cpanel and go to "Email accounts" i see the email noreply@sylv....... Clicking on the right side the button writen "More" i see this option: "Suspend Incoming Mail". I choose this option Did i do it correctly?? Thank's for your time.

Here is the things (steps) i have done i wonder if i have correctly done?? first step From my cpanel i choose "Emails accounts" Beside my email account and click the button "more" then i choose the option "access webmail" I then choose the mail option "horde" it open the menu I then choose the option "Mail" then the sub option "Filters" I then see the option "Existing Rules" I click on the option "Blacklist" From it i choose the option "Delete message completely" I enter nothing in the big rectangle asking: "Enter each address on a new line" (Because i want that i cant receive any messages from any ones) I then click on the "Save" button I then Logout from the email When i come back to my cpanel and click on "Email accounts", i see two icons on the left of my "noreply@sylv...." The first one by over passing my mouse i see the messages "Can send and can receive mail" There must be something i dont do correctly?? Hello I would like if an administrator or moderators could do this for me in my email account. My user name is: Sylvain I'm on the server: Tommy My Domain is: http://sylvain.heliohost.org Why i ask some admin or moderator? I dont want to try things that would be not good or correct on the server. My knowledges is very small, and affraid to not do it correctly! What i would like: When i enter my e-mail account "noreply@sylvain....." that i can send messages. (But cant receive messages). To respond to peoples that have writen me. Why? By protection of the servers as "Virus attatchement" or some auto-robot sending "mass" e-mail messages. This email of mine "noreply@sylvain..." would have at the end some message signature as: "Note this e-mail cant receive messages. Please use the contact message form to write." Also in the past, if i remember a moderator have helped me to have some contact form with "captcha". If you could check if it is ok? Please tell me when it's done, so i can test it by trying to write some message to: noreply@sylvain... I care of the servers and care for the peoples related to heliohost, that's why i ask. Thank's Wolstech for the help! I wonder who would update drupal, dont know how to update some things on the server? I just create some html pages, some basic php page, some flash content, some images; and sometimes some sound. But updating some drupal or wordpress or other softs, i dont know how it work. I prefere that some Root Admin's do it. I'm not gonna play with it and dont want to, because i'm affraid to make some errors. Not much knowledges, just basic knowledges. A suggestion is on the cPanel they would simply have some "clean icon" like crapcleaner. To simply click on a start button to do a safe clean. This could save some space drive and make the server much clean. Wonder if it is possible? Similar with the Antivirus Scan Icon, to scan the files. That i do once a while, just to say to the server and the admin's; to keep my hosting alive. What i find strange, is when i antivirus scan the files it scan all and i see that it scan also some folders and files that i dont know; i think to my self that it is probably some cpanel files or other server files that i dont know and might be important. I have updated my Web Search Engine, ive added the Sourceforge Software Search. I wonder if there is moderators or administrators that could do for me a thing for my "web search page". I have tryed codes as <div align="center"> also simply <center>; so when i add a (search option) the text simply is aligned in the middle. As the time i write this, when a user choose one of the search engines; the text is aligned to the left (leaving some blank spaces on the right). I'm on the Tommy server, user name: sfavron. I think would maybe look nicer if the text is in the middle. Google Search (middle), Yahoo Search (middle), Youtube Search (middle), etc. etc. For the time beiing my softwares is in the section Extra, after Softwares. My section "Softwares" is still underconstruction. I have to think about trying to categorize the free legal softwares. Example section "Office Softwares" would have: OpenOffice, LibreOffice, etc. I must think also of all the Operating System (windows/Mac/Linux/Ubuntu/Android/Intelligent Phones/etc), the Display Sizes; and more. Maybe some of you have seen my list at: http://sylvain.heliohost.org/extras/softwares.html But i think to change it, to simply create a directory about softwares and try to categorize it as (audio / image / tool / editor / webmaster / 3d / video / etc.). Some peoples have seen my list and i'm glad that it have helped peoples, that dont have much money as i; and want full free legal softwares links to official sites. I have not many softwares, and i'm glad that some company's have givin me there softwares. Well i try to help peoples. As i did about a software called Futurepinball made by Christopher, that he have givin me the autorizations to do some printscreens about the software to create some books, this beside some moderators and administrators linked to the same software. Also Ton from Blender.org and Mete from Milkshape3d is also great peoples that i like, they have also accepted that i do printscreens of there softwares still oriented for the Futurepinball software. This to help peoples. I have different things to think of, as i find sad that the "GameRoom All In One List" of the company Miniclips that have games; there game room list dont seem to work. Before there games was packed in one frame and auto updated itself, now to embed there games it's one game frame for each game. For Ashoat if he open a PO box for postal money order check for peoples, he must first know how much it cost and if the donations is higher then what it cost for the PO box. Brief i dont know Ashoat but i think of his good as i think for other Administrators/Moderators and peoples good; that doing so it must worth it (having many peoples prefering this way to make donations).
