  1. Any advertisement that does not copy the look of the Google adsense ads cannot be placed on the same page as google ads. You can have them in other pages of your site, but not on the same page. There are thousands of different programs, so I would suggest searching PPC programs on Google. I would recommend following my second point of my first reply by having ads from a particular person at a set price per month because you know what you are advertising and how much you will be paid.

  2. Okay guys, I'm back home. I've switched some of the mods and admins up, too.

    Read the entire topic.

    Whoops. Why do I always do this?

    agh - most drink more milk.

    Welcome back dj

  3. Please try to be a bit clearer - use more than one sentence and maybe point form of what you did. I can't understand your problem.

    EDIT: I went to the site, and everything seems to be working fine - did you solve the problem or am I missing something?

    ok

    Please open this port 35555 for my site so I can connect to this site 123flashchat.com So is the work of running chat

    I am not a moderator - wait for djbob or one of the others to reply. They will help you out.

  4. Try adbrite. The only thing is you can't have their ads where there is Google ads because they look similar and that violates Google's TOS. It's the same thing as adsense, you get payed either when people (a) click your ads or ( b ) view the ads.

    adbrite.com

    Also, you can join some other forums, where they have areas for people looking to place ods on others sites so you can find some people through that. There's too many to link, so just try googling it

  5. Hohoho, i see my cpanel this day and it's changed a bit xD New cpanel version.. With full function so that i need to figure what those new thing are for /lol

    Souvenir from europe, isn't it? /lol

    Thanks for your free hosting service, anyway ^^

    I think he already left.

    Forums have been even slower than they usually are :(

  6. Quote from my old WebTech courses:

    Now, the major problem with having all your page content inside a single table is the rendering time it takes a browser to work out the table and it's contents before displaying anything on the page.

    You can overcome this by using several identical tables stacked one below the other. We briefly covered this as an extra to the Tables lesson. Splitting your page up into several tables allows the first table to be displayed while the browser works on displaying the others and this gives the impression that your page loads fast as your visitor has something to look at while the rest of the page loads.

    http://www.webtechu.com/adv3/moretables-2a.php

    I think I will use this method then. It seems to be the easiest and most efficient of all the selected.

    So a table for the navigation, a table for the main welcome stuff, and then a table for the other stuff.

    P.S. I put in <tbody> because for some reason the cPanel editor always ads it in so I thought maybe it was some unknown random tag that may just be vital to the website and without it google would sue me 10,000 K on runescape and run away laughing like Einstien, while my website spams my own email account with error messages and suddenly I get 400 posts on helionet and got a free domain! Yay maybe I should leave out the <tbody>

  7. I'm an everything :D

    No, seriously, I'm a... *takes breath*

    Geek-trekkie-digitalartist-webdesigner-fanfictionauthor-videogamer-familyguyfan-simpsonsfan-americandadfan-futuramafan-eurekafan-housemdfan-musiclover-raphater-hiphophater-htmlprogrammer-phpbeginner-phpmyadminexpert-filezillaexpert-webmaster-languagepedanticist-chocolatelover-especiallythe-onewithmint.

    *inhales* *exhales* *calms down*

    So basically you like entertainment and chocolate (especially with the mint :D), but not rap or hiphop?

    That would have saved a lot of typing, and digital breath.

    P.S. Lindor beats all mint chocolate!

  8. Well by now most everyone knows that we (The U.S.) did not get the bid for the 2016 Olympic Games. My question is what are your thoughts about the President personally going and "campaigning" to have the Olympic Games here in the U.S.?

    Personally I believe that it was a large waste of tax payer money. We have an Olympic Committee/Organization that should have been the group that was responsible for "lobbying" for this. Persoanlly I feel that it was benieth the Office of the President to go and "beg" to let us host the games. I know we were not the only country that did this (King & Queen of Spain did as well), and I believe the same applies to them as well.

    While yes it would be good for our economy in the long run, I believe that we have more pressing issues that the President should be focused on. Our immediate economy, health care, imigration, etc to name a few.

    When was this I never heard of it - although I don't live in the USA

    Anyways If I ran a country I would want the Olympics too - but they'll get their turn in a couple 100 years or so :}

    But yes I do think it sounds like a waste of money - they should spend it on other stuff (Don't ask me what)

  9. Have you thought of URL forwarding? Basically someone put's in yourname.is.fun or whatever you get and it redirects them to yourname.heliohost.org

    It is much more unprofessional and should only be used for sites like your blog or anything casual. Don't do it for business.

    EDIT: Oops I already said this - can one of the mods delete this?

    EDIT: How can an accident be intentional?

  10. Congrats. For this, you win jerk of the week. Here's your medal.

    What, no icing on the cake?

    That won't center your site for all browsers and if you want all browsers to see your page the same way you'll need to use text-align:center; either in the body or in another division like this:

    That is true, I know for internet explorer at least you will need to add that to the body.

    Wow I never thought I would get this many replies 0_o

    It seems there are multiple ways, but I have just one point to make about the tables:

    If you made multiple tables aligned in the center so it all wasn't in the same table, would that make it load faster - b/c tables load everything in them before appearing in some browsers? Although this may make a bit of a space between some tables, but I am sure a bit of css could fix it up.

    So would that work?

    EDIT:

    So instead of this:

    <table>
    stuff
    stuff
    more stuff
    huge image file
    lot's of stuff
    even more stuff
    some random javascript
    seo links
    etc
    etc
    etc
    </table>

    It would be this:

    <table>
    stuff
    stuff
    </table>
    <table>
    more stuff
    </table>
    <table>
    huge image file
    lot's of stuff
    </table>
    <table>
    even more stuff
    some random javascript
    </table>
    <table>
    seo links
    etc
    etc
    etc
    </table>

    And yes I know it should be

    <table>

    <tbody>

    <tr><td>

    stuff

    </tr></td>

    </tbody>

    </table>

    just making it shorter

  12. I've been using Yahoo! Mail for about six years now. I'd pretty much say that in terms of functionality, Gmail is my pick. (Been using it for a year and I don't think I'm switching back to my Yahoo Mail accounts anymore!)

    I liked Mail.com despite its limited features though because I was able to get the e-mail addresses I wanted. (Yes, I'm gay enough to get a rainbow@inserrtmaildotcomdomainhere.net address.) I still wasn't surprised that nobody voted for Mail.com for this reason. :P

    Tried hushmail.com too because I was enticed by the promise of encrypted messages. I got dismayed upon learning that I only have 2 MB to dispose with, and that the secure encryption only worked in messages sent between two hushmail e-mail addresses.

    EDIT: I have a Hotmail account too, but I only made it for MSN. Also, my school is offering us Windows Live IDs and all, so I have to use it. :P

    Wow that is small text

    anyway @Bill hotmail now automaticly signs you up for a live account when you register for hotmail. I went to get msn and apparently I already had it :P

    @wiki mail.com does look cool but it isn't really a popular choice so how safe can they be? That's why I don't use them b/c they don't have a HUGE rep to lose if someone finds them reading people emails :)

  13. What is a good URL redirection or free domain name that relates to an online store.

    I am making a Spreadshirt Shop and would like to make an alternative webpage that actually has structure and organization. Although, I don't want to have a myname.heliohost.org because that would be unprofessional - and I wouldn't want to EVER be unprofessional =)
