VPS number: 111, VPS ID: 671 i see /etc/nginx typically i would do ./sites-enabled (as I believe that is the recommended nginx config), where the /etc/nginx/sites-available are where you basically store your "main config" files, and either link to them or dont. So, eg. let's say I have a server on 192.168.20.183 many containers therein correspond to the /etc/nginx/sites-enabled I realize this is unorthodox, but it works for my dev setup. so, for that one "weird 'super-parent' directory" wd2tb01, i have this slightly diff .conf file: where the root /media/wd2tb01/var/www while the others correspond to the canonical names, as correspond, such as server_name "zjvuypqa" root /media/wd2tb01/var/www/zjvuypqa server_name "bunsen" root /media/wd2tb01/var/www/bunsen and so on. Question: being a VPS, does that mean i'll have access to some APT capabilities? i know even that crap acct i had w/ that other co for 200/ yr , i had SSH. but i don't think i was actually supposed to have that (shared hosting?). anyway. but i managed to install and use NPM on there somehow. i'm thinking-- while ne knows how to tune the Litespeed pretty well-- i don't think he pays attention to anything else. SSH keys maybe 'cause it's easy. email stuff i suppose. but you know. most people use Gmail anyway. lol. dunno how far along you are on initializing the acct. just wanted to say, my typical setup is MX-Linux 21 / 23 NGINX MariaDB PHP 8.2 (or whatever) Python 3.11 (etc) NPM (optional - never use it of course) Composer (optional - never use but nice to have) Ubuntu would be fine. When I do the Windows Subsystem for Linux, i always just use Debian. The WSO.host guy uses CentOS.
