  1. No not a screen shot. Just a simple html page with that domain. You said you wanted the adminstrator to change you heliohost domain to this: http://diablosa.co.za Which is already hosted somewhere else. If he does that then you would have two sites using the same domain name.
  2. 1) From what I can tell you don't even have this site with Heliohost to change: http://diablosa.za.net Post a working page from that domain name. 2) You can't have two sites using the same domain name. You will have a dns conflict.
  3. If somebody else already owns this domain name (http://diablosa.co.za) then you CAN'T use it. But you don't even have this domain (http://diablosa.za.net) to change even if co.za did belong to you.
  4. This site http://diablosa.za.net/ doesn't work and shows NO name servers connected with it.
  5. Then this domain http://diablosa.co.za/ will need to stay pointed exactly where it's at if your happy with it that way. It can't point to Heliohost too. That will take an Administrator to correct that, but you still will have to change your domains name cervers to park that domain to heliohost. If you want Heliohost to host your site you will have to change name servers to: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org btw, is this you Heliohost site now? http://diablosa.za.net/ Is that the domain that you use to login to your cpanel?
  6. This domain name ( http://diablosa.co.za/ ) can only point to one name server. Either the name server you currently have or heliohost's name server. But since you say you already have a working site with Heliohost, then why can't you just use a parked domain?
  7. This works for me: http://diablosa.co.za/ Name Servers: ns1.eu.editdns.net ns2.eu.editdns.net -------------------------- This does NOT work: http://diablosa.za.net/ Name Servers: None
  8. We don't have web stats and haven't had them for months. At least as far as I know we still don't.
  9. It is a server problem. I get the exact same error at my cpanel when I try to open phppgadmin, but I don't understand why he has to PM either administrator? Do they not read the forum anymore?
  10. I'm seeing your page: Source of buildapc.co.cc <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>Build A PC</title> <!--Tracking code here--> </head> <body bgcolor="#CCCCCC"> <script type="text/javascript"> var sc_project=4564651; var sc_invisible=1; var sc_partition=46; var sc_click_stat=1; var sc_security="2171308b"; </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"></script><noscript><div class="statcounter"><a title="myspace profile visitor" href="http://www.statcounter.com/myspace/" target="_blank"><img class="statcounter" src="http://c.statcounter.com/4564651/0/2171308b/1/" alt="myspace profile visitor" ></a></div></noscript> <table border="0" width="780"> <tr> <td><img src="images/computer.png" alt="Picture of computer"></td> <td><img src="images/computer.png" alt="Picture of computer"></td> <td><img src="images/computer.png" alt="Picture of computer"></td> <td><img src="images/computer.png" alt="Picture of computer"></td> <td><img src="images/computer.png" alt="Picture of computer"></td> </tr> <tr><td></td></tr> <tr><td colspan="5"> <h2 align="center">Thank you for coming to this website to learn how to build a computer.   11. OK Good! It was probably just a server glitch while the adinistrator was updating the server. Cheers, Byron
  12. I'm not sure if this matters because I haven't created a sub-domain recently, but make sure your directory exists first before trying to create the sub-domain.
  13. Here's a list of Heliohost's functions: http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/get_d...d_functions.php http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/get_d...d_functions.txt Cheers, Byron
  14. If this is your site: http://rhythmangel.heliohost.org then this is how you use that ftp client I posted: Host address: ftp.rhythmangel.heliohost.org User: same as cpanel Password: same as cpanel ------------------- Once your at your user directory, open up the public_html directory to see your folders and files.
  15. Just hold tight for a little while and it should get corrected soon. In the meantime you can ftp into your site if you want. http://www.expandinghead.net/rmtcnt/ftp.cgi Cheers, Byron

    PHP sessions

PHP Sessions seems to be working fine for me. Check your script for errors. http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools...annotator-s.php http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools...annotator-s.txt Try this simple piece of code and see if it returns a sessions number for you: <?php session_start(); echo session_id(); ?>

    PHP Down Today

Just give it a new name that nobody knows but you and keep it. It makes for a great file finder and keeps you from having to search through all your directories for forgotten files.

    PHP Down Today

Here's a good file search script I put together. Works in any directory and will search your entire site for files matching a particular query. Type 'core' in the file form to search for any files with the word 'core' in the file name. Just give it a .php extension. http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/scripts/php/site_search.txt I can't help you there because I'm like you when it comes to dns, but if you find out what our problem is, please let us know. Cheers, Byron

    PHP Down Today

PHP went down again today. Check your sites for huge core files that need to be deleted. Cheers, Byron
  20. The adminstrator should be able to do that for you. The administrstor at the last place I was hosted at gave us that option on a seperate cpanel that allowed us to buy addon domains, parked domains, extra space and bandwidth with posting points. But we get all of those free here.
  21. An .htaccess file is nothing more than a plain text file with the name .htaccess (don't forget the dot) that goes inside any directory and all sub directories follow the same rules. So if you create a .htaccess file in your root directory than ALL of your folders will follow the same rules, but like papukai posted you can create your sub-domains through the cPanel. Just go to the cPanel and follow the instructions. Byron
  22. Mine is working and works in the proper order. index.php http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/test/index.php index.html http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/test/ Check your .htaccess file for errors.

    Account details

This is the url to get to cpanel: http://your_domain.heliohost.org:2082/ change 'your_domain' to your domain name. name servers for heliohost are: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org Cheers, Byron
  24. Heliohost is running Apache version 2.2.11 and you can use .htaccess, but I don't know if Wildcard DNS is enabled.
  25. I believe ALL web stats have been disabled until the server becomes a little more stable. Byron
