I wasn't able to open the cpanel this morning but I could just a few minutes ago, although slow. Sometimes when the server is under a heavy load you'll experience this. Just try it at another time. Do you have Hotlink protection on your images? You don't want to remove the dns on your original domain are you won't be able to login. Would you rather I just change your domain to punctured-drum.com?

You don't need to change it to www. It will work that way when your site comes out of the queued state. You did the right thing when you registered your domain WITHOUT the www.
