  1. I'm sure he didn't

Now I'm just hoping Helio will gets stabler

because I'm having quite a hard time to let people download some files from my hosted site (not mp3, videos)

  2. To argue this question, we shall take a look at the poll result.

85% yes, 15% no so far...

    We can roughly guess it...

And if you take a look at wikipedia site,

Why it could establish for such a long time? On what basis?

Professionals might think that wiki's info contains some discrepancies,

but not the beginner who's trying to learn.

  3. Oh yea... noticed your client request.

If that's the case, why don't simply create a folder in public_html, say "Maps" without having index.html

Place all your maps in the folder, direct your client to http://yourdomain.com/Maps/

and they would see a page listed with all the maps you uploaded.

    It's simple, but ugly.

  4. There's not much difference between FTP and HTTP.

Both are working fine, just that FTP can drive you straight forward to access and manage your files

If you're not so familiar with FTP, just go for cPanel from HTTP, which is easy-guided.

If you insisted on trying FTP, go for software like CuteFTP, SmartFTP or freeware like FileZilla

The interface would as much like you folder browser, with some extra buttons like Upload, Download, Connect Wizard, Site Wizard etc.

    Explore on your own.

Just remember as told by djbob, HelioNet doesn't accept anonymous login anymore.

  5. If we do get rid of spammers, I'm sure we do get rid of members too.

And some of them maybe tired of the server downtime without knowing why and when,

so they went for another hosting.

Well... it's all up to djbob.

  6. Well... I never use anonymous ID to log in my FTP account.

    Weirdly, it works now.

    Thanks.

*Ever plan to send email to notify members to come back? Some of them doesn't know server has recovered.

  7. It's great to hear news from djbob again.

I thought Helio has been closed down without any reason, like those noob hosts I used in the past.

Again, welcome back, and hope Stevie is still on the run, as strong as before.

*NOTE: FTP isn't functioning for me.. is it just me or something's wrong with FTP server?

  8. That's not my claim, I've read it from a book that tells us stories about souls and spirits from scientific aspects.

The scientists carried out the experiment, and they found out mass is lost when somebody is dead,

and they claimed that lost is due to soul... but NOBODY can actually prove that is 100% correct.

But if t'was true, my believe is the theory of E=mc^2. we can shift the equation into m=E/c^2.

I read it from a book as well, saying that mass and energy are convertable to one another.

And IF we do have soul, when one is dead, the soul will free up from your body as energy and some mass will lost significantly.

That's my believe, but I don't claim it to be true.

  9. firzenr, a wide knowledge you have, nice try.

But bear in mind that we're sharing in this forum, whether you believe it or wise, respect people please.

I couldn't say that you're wrong, and yea, you're right in every claims you did.

The 7 reasons stated above are just merely claims by some persons who're trying to gain fame in split seconds, based on unreal facts.

Among the 7 reasons given, I don't think that anyone of us here actually believe in anyone of those,

Justify it with your own rationality and stop wasting time on discussing the end of the world.

  10. It's pointless to discuss this originate question since there's no answer to it.

Depending on what you believe in, you have different answers, like Wizard said

Like me, I don't really believe existance of God,

although I believe in existance of dinosaur, but I don't really believe in the behaviour of the dinosaur as the scientist claimed

  11. Why you said so?

It might helps from some aspect.

When someone created some things that is acceptable by a group of people,

there must be a reason why they like that.

You never try, you never know.

But one problem I noticed is that active members in this board is still less to apply that.

  12. There was/is a Facebook group that was created in 'honor' of Pluto. If you want I might be able to find it, but I don't feel like getting on Facebook.

    Yea, me too.

but seriously, the pluto thing will certainly leaves an impact in our history, since when I was small, I knew about the 9 planets so much.

but now I've gotta learn only 8 planets, but in addition, a lot of asteroids and dwarf planets.

And who knows in the future, some scientist denied this fact the pluto was a dwarf planet?

p/s: In IAU, there're still a number of scientist disagree that pluto should be categorized as dwarf planet, they'll work something out.
