Your domain is not released from your old hosting service.

My suggestion :

delete the name servers, wait until the domain show nothing(released from old hosting site).

Then now add the name server of Heliohost.

Yes you are right, they discovered the security breach on kernel.org on august itself.(you can get more details about the august breach here ).

When you deploy in local system, you may restart tomcat .

Connection timeout in FTP is temporary problem .try to reconnect it. I don't know about cpanel problem.

That might temp problem. Also it will throw this error , if you try to access website while accessing cpanel/ftp.

Ajax is light weight. Also you are trying to retrieve data from db only , right? I think that won't make overload in server. I am not sure anyway.
