Haven't been able to receive any email this morning. Client Email Error message shows "Mail was unable to connect to server using SSL on port 995 / 993" I have 10 email accounts & all of them return same message. skullyme skullythepirate.com

I'll keep that in mind Krydos... Seems the only time I've ever had any problem with server speed is with X-Cart, and that is primarily with the time to first byte wait time. Once the home page opens everything from that point seems to respond fairly quickly. Cube Cart app on the other hand was much faster right away when I tested it. Also I received this reply from Softaculous forum about uninstalling Cubecart from my main domain... When you uninstall an installation made in main directory Softaculous will delete only files that are related to the script installed. In your case CubeCart. When Softaculous installs a script it notes the files/folders unzipped in the root folder and while removing the installation via Softaculous it will remove only those files and will not touch any other files related to another subdomain etc.

Softaculous deleted Cubecart but home directory and all the other content files still in tact... maybe a few leftover CubeCart files remaining here and there, but I can manually delete those. One reason I was looking at Cubecart, is to find an alternative to X-cart, which I also have installed. I've found x-cart to be very sluggish... regularly taking as much as 15-20 seconds to open pages, and I was hoping Cubecart was a bit more lightweight and faster. Any suggestions on how to speed up X-cart before I go with something else? thepiratestore.com

So if I choose to keep the directory (which is my main directory) during the uninstall process, the CubeCart files will uninstall independently from the rest of my main directory's content and everything non CubecCart related that is visible in public_html (subdomain, files, etc.) and which are also on my main directory, will remain in tact?

Wasn't paying attention and installed CubeCart in my main directory... no sub folder / sub domain. It rewrote htaccess file during the installation process. What I need to know is, if I delete app via Softaculous, I know I'lll need to generate a new htaccess file, but will the uninstall just remove the CubeCart elements/files/database or will it also remove the main directory itself, and/or any of the non Cubecart elements / subdomains in the main directory? skullythepirate.com is the main directory and I currently have the cubecart store offline. I initially tried IMAP but had no success so I went with POP... For whatever reason mail is working now. I will go back and try to set up IMAP again later, but we're good for now. Thanks again

I have one email address that continues to return unable to connect with POP error message when I try and set up my email client. All other domains/email addresses connect and work fine with this same client. That folder and file listing was not in my directory before today... I deleted some of the files I found that related to my site but everything else is as I discovered it an hour or so ago. You didn't find that file when you looked yesterday? Thanks again and hopefully this info can help prevent future security issues

I know word press sites were hacked, I found new folder (F0x) that seems to indicate Drupal and Joomla may be infected also. See screen shot of F0xConfig2 folder below...

Server: Tommy Domain: skullythepirate.com I reinstalled WP after the hack and deleted all files from database, directory and email that had been affected (anonymousfox). everything has been working completely normal since I reinstalled. I have seen no evidence of phishing originating from my site. To be honest, advance notification about pending suspension would have been appreciated if it was related to wp install. Because of the suspension, I'm unable to receive email from several domains, which is problematic since they are used on ebay and several other sites that require prompt responses. I do not have a back up to this domain, had I known in advance of suspension I could have done so. I do understand the disruption such a hack creates for you guys and appreciate your service. I was able to delete the smtp@skullythepirate.com address. Here is the error message I get when I try and delete the other (inforserver@skullythepirate.com (XID td9nxu) You do not have an email account named “infoserver@skullythepirate.com”.

the two email addressed I listed in previous post... infoserver@skullythepirate.com smtp@skullythepirate.com I didn't create them... can they be deleted or are they needed by email system?
