If you're getting high bandwidth usage, it's because somebody is using your site. 450 MiB is not enough for a DDoS, but if you were getting DDoS'd we still take your site down after 2.5 GiB of monthly traffic.
Our firewall was accidentally down, so I had to restart it. Your app is still running, you just can't see if from outside your server. Try adding mod_rewrite rules in a .htaccess file to redirect to port 80.
We've been having some trouble with the server recently, but it's nothing specific. There were spammers a few days ago, and there was a cPanel update today.
Eric: Please wait until "Server Load" under "Service Status" in your cPanel is below 4, and then try adding the domain again once. You will have to wait 24 hours after adding your domain for it to become active.

Unfortunately, they use a file to set access IPs, so we can't restrict access like we can with MySQL.
Well, I suppose you can test it that way... but are you aware that all browsers will show a big red bar and most will have an interstitial warning page before your webpage if you use a self-generated certificate?
