  1. Yup. Sorry... I forgot to post here to say the problem was fixed.

    Changes Coming

I'm going to purchase a professional design. UPDATE: I've added some items to the to do list, and explained some others more in-depth. We now have Ruby and Ruby on Rails working, and I've updated the signup script a little bit.

Weird... try doing a hard refresh (F5). No, it should be working. It's actually server admin experience, not programming experience. Only click the ads if you are interested
  4. You agreed to the ToS when you created an account. Next time, try actually reading what you are agreeing to.

Seems gray to me. It should be done... Although, for some reason the Google ad isn't displaying there. Let me see if I can fix that... Anyways, I've officially purchased the new server. It should be arriving in around one and a half weeks, at which point I'll configure it and send it to the datacenter. Should be up and running within a month. PS: Sorry about how slow the server is running right now. Some users had inaccurate quotas (said they used all their disk space when they hadn't) and so I ran the fixquotas script, which as it turns out uses a huge load of CPU. Just wait it out... the server should be back to normal speed within a few hours. Also, FTP and IMAP are currently down - they'll be restarted after the fixquotas ends. Meanwhile, the stability fixes we've got for Apache should keep it running, albeit annoyingly slow. EDIT: The slowdown is over.

Yah, lappy512 helped me some. His fixes got the server to be more reliable. Thanks to his help, in the future if we have more crashes it won't be as bad. Server load will still be 40 and the server will run slow, but at least it won't die. I just caught and apprehended the offenders. Check the server load - it's down to like 3 from 10 Oh yah, and about that last crash... yah, ignore the last post, NOW is the start of the no-crashes period UPDATE I've done a major cleanup of the server. Server load is now in the green and not only should crashes be gone, but the server should be running much faster

I'll consider it, but my real priority right now is stabilizing the server and preventing the server outages. However, I think I applied the final update to stabilize the old server today. No more outages should be occuring

Yup, I've been working on that recently. Yes. Yup, I've been doing that today. Monday is not server switching day. I haven't actually bought the server yet, let alone recieved it, installed cPanel/WHM on it, and sent it off to the datacenter. It'll be some time from now... maybe a month or so. For now, I'll try to keep the old server running a little bit smoother than it has been lately.

Well, the server switch hasn't happened yet, but I have been optimizing cPanel lately. Turns out the majority of our problems are due to people thinking that its OK to cron some script to run every minute.
  10. Not Ads Unlimited - that one is still around. I can't offer custom quotas without placing ads
  11. Does it send through HTTP? As in, is the Battefield 2 that is sending the information on your computer at home, or is it on your HelioHost account?

No, but I'm not going to auto-transfer all accounts. I'm going to send everyone an email that we have a new server and if you like, you can switch to it. Within about one and a half months I will go ahead and remove the old server and all accounts attached to it. Server switches will be done through a special request forum.

Server is going to be purchased this Monday. Should come about a week after that, at which point I'll install an OS and cPanel/WHM and then ship it off to the datacenter.
  14. The database shows your account as active and activated. Wizard is probably right.
  15. We don't really have ads anymore, so you don't need to request anything
  16. AJAX is client-side, so it's not the server that supports it, but rather the client. Also, please post in the correct forum next time.
  17. No; your account would have been activated by now. You probably broke one of our rules. Did you read the big, bolded red text at the signup page?
  18. If you can explain what I need to do for the patch, then I'll do that. The file you gave was just a confusing two-line .txt file... As for the file, I don't seem to have swedish-utf8-inc.php, but I do have swedish-utf-8.inc.php. EDIT Try and see if it's working now.

I'm definitely getting the Core 2 Duo processor now... turns out that the only difference between the Xeon and the Core 2 Duo was that the Xeon has a multiplier of 8x and the Core 2 Duo had 9x. Everything else is identical. Definitely would prefer a higher multiplier, especially when it comes with 1TB HDD and 8GB RAM
  20. If that version is in the latest cPanel, it'll be online as soon as I get the new server working.

Just rearrange. UPDATE: I've got a credit card to buy the server with now. I'm probably going to actually get a Quad-Core Core 2 Duo processor instead of the Xeon, but in exchange the server will have 1 TB of HDD space and 8 GB of RAM. Probably a good trade-off - the Xeon processors aren't much more than modified Core 2 Duos. Should be ordering the server sometime soon.
  22. What...? I have no clue what you just said, but if the files have PHP code in them, you need to use the extension ".php".
  23. Okay, seriously... I've told you to spell correctly once already. "Thx" is spelled "thanks". PGSQL should be working now.
  24. Well, this is either PHPMyAdmin's fault or your computer's fault. To figure this out, I'd have to muddle trough PHPMA's source code... sorry, I don't have the time If you know PHP, you can take a look at it, as it's open source
