  1. Having free hosting is great, but you also need a domain in order to get your website online. You could of course use a free subdomain from your web-host, but that generally limits your options and means you cannot transfer your website elsewhere without having to change your URL as well. That's the problem a free domain solves. This list is composed of providers who offer free domains at no charge and give you full DNS control as well as the ability to use your own name-servers (or the name-servers of HelioHost). Free domain providers: .eu.org - Free subdomain with rather complicated registration procedure. But this provider has been around since 1996 and most likely will be around for a long time. Free subdomains are either backlogged greatly or have stopped entirely. Already registered subdomains still work. FreeDomain.one or DNSExit.com - Free Subdomains. Cannot change NS servers but can use most other things like A records. Free .work.gd, .run.place, and .link.pc subdomains. Unfortunately, some domains like .jo3.org seem to be broken. DigitalPlat Domains - WEBSITE/DASHBORD UPDATED DigitalPlat Domain is a nonprofit stewarding free, resilient namespaces so people and organizations everywhere can claim a trusted home on the internet, and we operate and manage public namespaces such as free *.qzz.io, *.dpdns.org domains and one time payment for *.us.kg, *.xx.kg domains, offering free registration and administration to individuals and communities worldwide. Github Search - This is an accumulation of repositories that allow free subdomains or have links to places that have free subdomains. Look around and you might find something you need. Domains.is.a.shop - A curated collection of free subdomains ideal for personal websites, open source projects, portfolio showcases, and innovative online ventures. Find your desired domain here in our little shop, completely free of charge. FreeDNS - A service where people can submit their domains so other people can get subdomains from it. This community oriented nature means there are over 100,000 domains in there pool and many of them can be used to get free subdomains. 2. It's a future offering we're considering that hasn't been built or released, and has no ETA (assuming its implemented at all). Back in the cPanel days there was no domain limit. We probably should edit the footnote to say that it's a planned feature as its currently not something you can get...

  3. When a main domain is disabled, it takes all the subdomains down with it, regardless of whether the subdomains are hosted by us or not. What I have done is removed orcagroup.top from your account and left the subdomains. If the subdomain's MX point to us they should stay enabled, and if the main domain isn't attached to the subdomains it won't take them offline too when it's disabled. If you decide to host the main domain with us some day we can just add it back to your account. I created a full backup before I changed anything which you can download from https://heliohost.org/backup/ in case anything got lost in the shuffle. KazVee has written up a nice guide on how to extract the full backups if you need help with that too which can be found at https://wiki.helionet.org/tutorials/plesk/account-backups

  5. I found a huge list of free domains at http://getfreedomain.name/. I'll work through that list some time soon. Conclusion: there are way too many free domain providers.
