Panos80 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Hi, I have tried several times to change my account but it seems to fail. Old name: www.femaleforum.edu New (after the change): www.femaleonly.co.cc My user name is panos80s Please change this because the automatic script does not work.
Krydos Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I have tried several times to change my account but it seems to fail. I want the account www.femaleforum.eu to be change to www.femaleonly.co.cc My user name is panos80s Please change this because the automatic script does not work. It looks like the automatic script has already worked. Your main domain shows up as femaleonly.co.cc already. The website, however, does not seem to be loading. It looks like you set the co.cc nameservers correctly, but how long ago did you set it up? It can take up to 24 hours for the dns to propagate.
Panos80 Posted June 25, 2011 Author Posted June 25, 2011 Thank you very much for the reply I set up my cc account before 3-4 days but it does not working at all...
Krydos Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Thank you very much for the reply I set up my cc account before 3-4 days but it does not working at all... It's kind of a weird issue. One whois I tried said they had no record, and two other services said it was set to heliohost.org properly. The last edit date appears to be ~2 days ago too so it should have had time to start working everywhere.
Piotr GRD Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 femaleonly.co.cc does point to ns1/ns2.heliohost.org nameservers. But HelioHost nameservers does NOT have any records for femaleonly.co.cc, so the reason of problems seems to be really on HelioHost side. I can not check if the server does accept requests for femaleonly.co.cc at all (bypassing the DNS system) as Johnny is not accessible at all at the moment and still existsing on HelioHost nameservers records for femaleforum.eu suggest that Panos80's account is on Johnny. Tip for people trying to help in such cases: apart of "whois", using "dig" could be good idea, too. : ) PS. Similar situation with working account but with no DNS records created on HelioHost nameservers has been mentioned in here: http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?s=...ost&p=66443
digitalwolf Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 just giving my two cents... have you transferred the files to the new domain folder?

Yes, the account is on johnny, and as far as my access reaches everything looks like it's set up correctly. Don't know what else to do except: This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
Piotr GRD Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 At the moment the DNS entries for femaleonly.co.cc already are present on HelioHost nameserver. The same happend for mentioned in here http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?s=...ost&p=66443 wideaperture.heliohost.org, so it looks that something has been done. (Maybe some kind of reset or whatever djbob done while testing Charlie's power usage was enough.)

Although i an connect via smartftp on my account i cannot see anything when i type the domain adreess on my browsing and it keeps saying that page does not exist. I cant think what it could be happening.. Weird not its says HelioHost Account Queued ...ahhhhh
Piotr GRD Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 DNS issue has gone, so you're one step further. Redirection to "account queued" is another problem and with this one I am not able to diagnose why it could be. As to why you still did see that the page does not exist: remember about cache, either cache of your browser (temporary internet files) or DNS cache, which may sometimes cause that for some time you'll still see previous version even after changing something.
Krydos Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Weird not its says HelioHost Account Queued ...ahhhhh It looks like the strange dns issues that johnny was having have been fixed for several accounts. After your change your domain it is standard to see the account queued page for up to 24 hours. Let's give it a day and most likely the queued page will fix itself. It is not a server wide queued issue since all other johnny accounts I load do not give queued.
Panos80 Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Hello I requested the domain change 4-5 days before...and still i see the queued page..
Krydos Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I requested the domain change 4-5 days before...and still i see the queued page.. Yes, you requested the domain name change 4-5 days ago, and the script half worked, but somehow a strange DNS issue was created in the process. That DNS issue has since resolved itself and now you need to wait 24 hours from the DNS being fixed to see if the queued issue can resolve itself. Sorry I must not have been very clear the first time; was this explanation more clear?
Panos80 Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 I noticed a strange issue When i logon to my cpanel and click file manager the drop down menu shows 2 domain names. the main "femaleforum.eu" and the second i want "femaleonly.co.cc"
Ashoat Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Looks like what's going on here is that a domain change broke halfway through. The entry for femaleonly.co.cc is corrupted, and though its DNS currently seems to be propagating, cPanel's entry is corrupted such that it will never generate a VirtualHost entry in httpd.conf for it. On the other hand, femaleforum.eu seems to be configured correctly on our end, but doesn't seem to be pointed to HelioHost. Set the nameservers on that domain to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org and once it propagates the domain should show up. I've updated our database to list your new main domain (femaleforum.eu) correctly and I've deleted the corrupt entry for femaleonly.co.cc. Try adding femaleonly.co.cc again, and make sure you set your nameservers correctly.
