hello

Today I've been trying to activate a new hosting account on this username, on the server Stevie.

Somehow I keep on receiving emails that there was a failure in doing this.

Dear citoea,
Your hosting account at HelioHost has encountered an error during installation. The error is:

Please visit http://www.heliohost.org/scripts/signup.php and try to signup again.

Regards,
HelioHost Staff

This is already the 3rd time that I've tried.

Can somebody help me with this?

Thanks in advance

What username are you trying to sign up with?

There is already an account with your IP address in the database which is assigned to your HelioNet account. The username in the database is citeoa.

Is this your account?

@Geoff - NeoSniperkiller mentioned the username above:

Hello,

This helionet account "neosniperkiller" had some time ago another heliohost hosting account linked to it.

That hosting account was suspended and removed due to inactivity.

Now I'm trying to setup a new hosting account linked to this helionet account, with the following details (excluding password...)

Desired Username (8 letters max): citoea

Desired Domain: citoe.heliohost.org

Password: ...

Confirm Password: ...

Email Address: same email address as this HelioNet account

HelioNet Username: NeoSniperkiller

I receive first this email:

Dear citoea,

Your hosting account at HelioHost has been added to the creation queue. Here is your account information:
Username: citoea (note: case sensitive!)
Password: ...
Domain: citoe.heliohost.org
Control Panel URL: http://citoe.heliohost.org/cpanel

Please note that it will take up to 24 hours before you can log in, and up to 48 hours before your website is up and running. Also note that your account will be automatically pruned if you do not log in to your control panel for a period of one month.

If you would like to check the status of your account in the creation queue, please visit http://www.heliohost.org/scripts/status.php?username=citoe.

Regards,
HelioHost Staff

After a good half hour to one hour, I receive this one:

Dear citoea,
Your hosting account at HelioHost has encountered an error during installation. The error is:

Please visit http://www.heliohost.org/scripts/signup.php and try to signup again.

Regards,
HelioHost Staff

Lol, I'm stunned that I receive an error email with no error message in it??????

But in the meanwhile, does that mean that the hosting account is cancelled?

edit: I just tried again, let's see how this try will end

I see your queued account in the database, looks like everything is working! :D

sorry to dissappoint you: I received the email below

Hello customer service,

I have been trying to sign up with heliohost all night, only to get numerous e-mails saying that an error has occurred and to try signing up again... This has happened about 3-4 times now. I tried signing up again and it says im in the queue now, but just awaiting an e-mail saying that the error has occurred once more..

This is strange. I can't find any conflict in the account database...

I will try signing up for you. One moment please...

EDIT: I have signed up that account, and put it at the front of the creation queue. I will let you know how it progresses.

EDIT: Looks like it has failed again. I am now inputting a test account with my details in. I will escalate this if it fails.

@Firefighter - Could you provide your details so I can investigate the email further (eg. username, domain, etc.)?

@NeoSniperkiller - I am investigating your issue now, look in your topic.

If after my investigations I discover this is a global problem, I will escalate this thread.

I've tried a few times now to sign up for an account at HelioHost and 30-60 minutes later I receive an email that just says:

I've tried, I think, three times now and have not been able to get anywhere. Do you know why this is happening? I see a few others with a same problem so I am guessing it is something on your side. If it is not please let me know what I need to do.

Thanks for your time and assistance.

Stevie is not currently taking signups for an unknown reason and we apologise for any inconvenience. The support request has been escalated and will be dealt with by djbob in this thread:

http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?showtopic=9568

The error that is occurring involves a successful signup but then is followed by an error message with, in fact, no error recorded.

We will let you know in this thread and the thread I mentioned above when this issue has been resolved. Please keep all discussion in the above thread.

Until then, all requests for signups to Stevie will fail. Johnny is not affected.

Also keep in mind that this affects anyone trying to switch servers from johnny to stevie. If you are considering switching to get better stability now is not the time to move your account because you will end up without any functional account until after this issue is resolved.
