Ashoat Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I'm a bit confused. What accounts have been blocked by the brute force protection? From what addresses is it impossible to log in from at this time?
Krydos Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I'm a bit confused. What accounts have been blocked by the brute force protection? From what addresses is it impossible to log in from at this time? I can't speak for anyone else, but for me: heliohost.org (cpanel login at the bottom of page) --> Doesn't work. cpanel.heliohost.org --> Does work. krydos.heliohost.org/cpanel --> Doesn't work Earlier, when I originally posted my thread, none of the options I could think of would work. Let me know if you want me to try any other urls/ports.
Guest Geoff Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm a bit confused. What accounts have been blocked by the brute force protection? From what addresses is it impossible to log in from at this time? Murphy's law. The problem is fixed as soon as you investigate. @djbob: What you can still fix is to enable the password reset box on johnny.heliohost.org:2082
Ashoat Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 How would I do that? I disabled cPanel's brute force protection for now - is the password reset box appearing?

No, the problem is not w/ Brute force protection, it's disabled because of something else. See for your self: What it should look like: http://x3demob.cpx3demo.com:2082/?login_theme=cpanel What johnny looks like (no password reset): http://johnny.heliohost.org:2082/login/ I'm not familiar with WHM, so I wouldn't know what the root cause of this is.
