geggel Posted Saturday at 01:49 PM Posted Saturday at 01:49 PM Hello, I can't seem to be able to upload my wordpress site. I installed wordpress, and then I installed a plugin that increases the upload limit. When I go to upload my website(wpress file) I get stuck in a "checking compatibility" pop-up window. My website is about 120 mb in size. Am I doing something wrong? Sorry I'm in the learning process with all of this. P.S my username is : geggel. Thank you and have a blessed day. George Quote
wolstech Posted Saturday at 02:13 PM Posted Saturday at 02:13 PM We have file uploads capped. You won't be able to restore a 120MB file via a form upload. What version of PHP are you using? I can increase the upload size limit for your account to 128MB so the file will upload. Quote
geggel Posted Sunday at 08:22 AM Author Posted Sunday at 08:22 AM Thank you for your quick reply. On helio host the php version is 8.3.19. On my local(flywheel) server is 8.2.23. Will that be a problem? Quote
wolstech Posted Sunday at 02:34 PM Posted Sunday at 02:34 PM I've changed the post max and file upload max to 128M for your account. I've also extended the execution time limit to 60 seconds so the script won't time out while restoring. It will take 2 hours to go into effect. Please wait 2 hours then try uploading the site again. I would remove the plugin that tried to work around the upload limits as those generally don't work here and our server would simply time the script out instead. Worst case is it doesn't work. You can also always move WP sites by uploading the raw site files via FTP and restoring the database via phpmyadmin instead of using one of those site migrator/backup extensions. You may need to edit the DB after to fix the domain in WP's settings. Then it can be imported into Plesk WP Toolkit for management. Please let me know if the site uploads and restores successfully.
