visionm Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Hi. Just wondering about updating to the latest version of drupal. Drupal tells me " Manual updates required Automatic updates of Drupal core are not supported at this time. NameSite versionRecommended version Drupal core (Security update)10.2.210.3.7 (Release notes) " but 10.2 is all that is available in plesk. is there any action I can take here? Thanks. Daniel Quote
wolstech Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 We can't control the versions of software available through Softaculous. You can update the app manually using Drupal's own update methods, but there's no guarantee that Softaculous will be able to manage it when the version installed is newer than the version in Softaculous. Seekier Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Or you can just go to Softaculous community forum and remind them Drupal has a new update available which is not yet implemented in Softaculous. Trust me they will do something about it but might take days or weeks. Quote
visionm Posted November 16, 2024 Author Posted November 16, 2024 (edited) Thanks. I am just wondering if I would be able to update manually? The update instructions Drupal points me to require the use of composer and I would not have access to that would I? https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/releases/10.3.7 edit okay I found it. Thanks. I just missed it before I see that ftp is available but the shell is not so it appears I will have to do manual updates over ftp. Edited November 16, 2024 by visionm Quote
wolstech Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 Composer is available through Plesk, but I'm not sure what would happen if you try to attach the Plesk composer tool to existing Drupal install... Quote
visionm Posted November 16, 2024 Author Posted November 16, 2024 I saw that but it did not show my drupal install because i installed through plesk app tab. But so if I start over and install using composer maybe that would be better. Quote
