There's also some guidance in the first link about how to use an `.htaccess` file to block bots from slamming your site which is also worth checking out, so you know what to do to protect your site if you see an unusually high number of page hits in your visitor stats. If you're not sure how to use an `.htaccess` file to block IPs, you can do this by logging into Plesk, then go to Files and create a file called `.htaccess` right inside your httpdocs folder.
