walterpowell Posted October 16 Posted October 16 (edited) Is RewriteEngine allowed? My current architecture requires it. Account: walterpowell Domains: walterpowell.heliohost.us (main) waltsblog.heliohost.us Thanks again. Edited October 16 by walterpowell Added a space (readability)
wolstech Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Yes rewrite is supported. You can configure it using htaccess as you normally would.
walterpowell Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 I am having zero luck today. 😁 I tested the following in /httpdocs .htaccess: RewriteEngine On error_log: [Wed Oct 16 14:06:28.617175 2024] [core:alert] [pid 3542333:tid 3542418] [client 75.112.87.226:0] /home/walterpowell.heliohost.us/httpdocs/.htaccess: Invalid command '\xef\xbb\xbfRewriteEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration No other directive is in .htaccess
walterpowell Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 Ok. Sorry. I forgot Total Commander saves files with BOM (\xef\xbb\xbf) by default. Recreated .htacces with Termux (no BOM by default) and issue resolved. Hope this helps someone else down the line.
