blasetvrt Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Greetings. I hope this is the correct section to post this. I've just created a MySQL Database with MariaDB and assigned it to my default site (blasetvrt.helioho.st). In user configuration, I set it up to be able to connect remotely by any host (I tried with both the dedicated radio button selection for it and the one for specific hosts, putting "%" in there). However, when applying the changes, when I click on the connection information under the database, along with the database name, username etc. the hostname remains as localhost and not my personal url host. I belueve MariaDB is not accepting connection requests because I can't connect to the database remotely from MySQL Workbench. How do I fix this? Do I need to get this set up by an administrator? Thank you for your time and attention.
blasetvrt Posted April 26 Author Posted April 26 Update... It works now on MySQL Workbench but I can't seem to connect from Spring Data?
wolstech Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Try using tommy.heliohost.org or 65.19.141.77 as the host name. Using your chosen domain for this may work in some instances, but for non-HTTP services, it's not fully supported and things tend to work best when you use the server name (tommy.heliohost.org in your case) as the hostname.
