yasky Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Am getting too much of 504 gateway timeout on my WordPress website so i uninstall WordPress. Right now i only see error 403 forbidden.. what's the issue? Username: Ojplanet Site: https://ojplanet.helioho.st
yasky Posted November 30, 2023 Author Posted November 30, 2023 Working fine now after re installing WordPress... Hope the 504 gateway won't popup anymore
MoneyBroz Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 The 403 forbidden error was perfectly normal. It just meant that you didn't have an index page.
MoneyBroz Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 The gateway timeout error could have been Apache doing a scheduled restart. Which is also normal.
wolstech Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Wordpress is so bloated that the more likely issue is Apache/PHP timing out causing nginx to toss that error. WP struggles in its vanilla form due to the amount of resources it needs, and often performs poorly or not at all if you install a lot of extensions. Some extensions are worse than others, but I can say from experience that WooCommerce, Wordfence, and Elementor are three that almost always lead to broken installs and high load.
yasky Posted November 30, 2023 Author Posted November 30, 2023 Okay thanks.. do you know any other drag and drop builder? Its so easy using wordpress and elementor.. I don't know much about coding
OnEnemy Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 If this is a simple blog, I highly suggest Publii. It's a static blog generator. Only downsides are it's only local (you need to upload every time you post), not for Android or iOS and can't be synced unless you use an cloud syncing service for the local files.
