Wizard Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I believe this is an issue on your end. Does your operating system and browser support Latvian characters?
BumBuliiC Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 Yes ofcourse... That problem is only in Admin panel , anywhere elsi like in Downloads, Forum is fine...
Wizard Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I think this is something to take up with the php-fusion people. It's their software so they can help more than us. http://php-fusion.co.uk/forum/index.php
BumBuliiC Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 No with PHP-fusion everything is OK, when I build webpage on my PC with same files that in this host eveyhing is OK, but in host Admin panel is not in right encoding. I think that the problem is somewhere in mysql datebase...
Wizard Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Is that the admin panel for php-fusion or is that cPanel? If it is the former, it would be best to ask the php-fusion guys.
BumBuliiC Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 OK i will ask in Fusion forum... Thanks Wizard
BumBuliiC Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 The problem is somewhere in host, because i tried to make a webpage with the same files on other host, and there everything is FINE. So the problem is somewhere in the host
Wizard Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
Byron Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Did you perhaps edit the Admin panel without choosing the correct encoding? This is from the edit page of the cpanel. It is very important that you select the proper encoding; saving your file with the wrong encoding may result in the corruption of your text. If you are only using a Western European language like English, Spanish or French without any special characters you can safely assume "ISO-8859-1" will work just fine. If you are using a non-western language or you have special characters that are not HTML encoded in your file, you should enter "utf-8". If your file appears with text like this: or You may have selected the incorrect encoding. If this happens, you should immediately abort the edit and select the correct encoding. You should not save the file; this will likely corrupt the text permanently.
Ashoat Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Try modifying the encoding through your browser. This is a different process for each browser, but should be relatively easy from some toolbar. Let me know if that works. It wouldn't be a solution, but it'll help pinpoint the issue.
BumBuliiC Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 But Installed the same on other host and there are no grabled character...
