Lab Work Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I've accidentally deleted my home directory. Now, everything is not working. It is possible to reset my account?
Byron Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I've accidentally deleted my home directory. Now, everything is not working. It is possible to reset my account? Do you mean you've deleted your public_html folder? And did you delete it out of your Trash bin yet?

Do you mean you've deleted your public_html folder? And did you delete it out of your Trash bin yet? Nope. The entire homedirectory, as Fantastico is not working (I'm not sure why?), so I deleted it through the Disk Space Usage.
Byron Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 What happens when you try to go to your user directory through this url? http://YOUR_DOMAIN.heliohost.org:2082/fron...den=1&dir=/
Lab Work Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Hmm, I see everything that should be there, is there. However, I can't go into any of the folders. Apart from this, I go into file manager through cPanel. I can only see 'www', 'tmp', 'public_html' and 'etc' there.
Byron Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 You should be able to click onto the public_html folder icon (not the name) and go to your public_html folder, or try this url: http://YOUR_DOMAIN.heliohost.org:2082/fron...r=/public_html/

By the way, Fantastico is not working for me. Should I just get my account deleted, and I'll re-create one?

Then it seems your ok and the only thing you deleted was the folder that gets created when you view the Fantastico option from the cpanel. You can make Fantastico work again by going to your cpanel and clicking onto the Fantastico link near the bottom of your options and choosing whatever program you want to use. Clicking onto the Fantastico folder inside your file manager doesn't do anything.

I did what you said, but it keep giving me errors (e.g. 'install more than one script' error when I did not install anything). That's why I deleted the whole home directory, hoping to remove the errors since I can't find the 'script'. And now, everything in cPanel is not working -.-"
Byron Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Then you'll need to post your username and domain name for djbob.
Lab Work Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Name as in my username for cPanel? name: xtincz domain: labwork.heliohost.org
Ashoat Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 What application are you trying to install, and in what directory? Note that you need to install in public_html, as that's the directory that's accessible to clients. (For instance, if you have a file to /public_html/blah/this.html, it will be visible as http://labwork.heliohost.org/blah/this.html.)
