niemen Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 (edited) Hello In total, I have been waiting for nameserver updates for about two weeks now. My domain is being hosted by networksolutions where I have pointed to both heliohost nameservers. I have even contacted the Support who have made manual changes. However, even now I have been waiting for about four to five days. I really don't think that waiting for a longer period will change anything. I stumbled upon a forum thread here that was discussing a so-called "zone file". Therefore, maybe heliohost has to help me out of this. My domain name is http://billigerkaufen.com . I am looking forward to your reply. Best Regards "Niemen" Edited May 3, 2020 by niemen
Luigi123 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Hi,I check that domain and it is currently working for me. I see your blog page with whole bunches of details. Try clearing your browser cache.
niemen Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 I appreciate your reply, Luigi123. However, this could be due to my old cloudflare setup with nameservers pointing to freehosting (my previous web hoster). Current whois lookups are acknowledging it: Name Servers EDWARD.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM (has 22,002,131 domains) SYDNEY.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM (has 22,002,131 domains) The outcome should of course be ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org. Best Regards Niemen
wolstech Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Did you add the domain in cpanel? If it gives you a name server error adding it as an addon domain, try setting it as your main domain with this script: http://heliohost.org/classic/support/scripts/domain
niemen Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 (edited) First of all I am very sorry for indeed forgetting to add my domain to cpanel! Did you add the domain in cpanel? If it gives you a name server error adding it as an addon domain, try setting it as your main domain with this script: http://heliohost.org/classic/support/scripts/domain As you have already mentioned, I received an error when trying to add my domain manually. However, your script has nevertheless helped in adding my domain to cpanel. But the "https" version of my site has been added which doesn't exist. Regarding Networksolutions (my domain hoster): I have once again tried to add ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org as name servers- and it is relatively positive that these entries are not being thrown out after a few minutes! However, after an hour, still no changes have been made; normally, it takes a few seconds.Waiting for 48h could be once again an option, but maybe something is still running wrong. I would therefore appreciate if you could take on other necessary changes in the meantime. Best Regards from GermanyNiemen Edited May 4, 2020 by niemen
wolstech Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 You'll Need to contact network solutions to find out why the system isn't changing your name servers when you tell it to. The name server settings for your domain are managed by them. On our end everything is set up correctly. As for HTTPS, Johnny requires you manually install a certificate. https://wiki.helionet.org/Installing_a_Let%27s_Encrypt_SSL_Certificate. Note that it requires about 2 hours to start working after you install it.
