Hitmaker Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Account name: hitmaker Any attempts to add a domain to the account gives me this error: Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver. This occurs with any domains I try. Domains already have the heliohost name servers set (verified with whois lookups), and its been more than 24 hours before i posted this be make sure it wasnt due to an abnormally slow propagation.
Hitmaker Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 (edited) shinespark.ga, ikaru.ga, and kakure.ga are the three that I tried Edited October 7, 2019 by Hitmaker
wolstech Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 The domain ikaru.ga is using a Freenom redirect to send users to https://hitmaker.newgrounds.com/ The domain kakure.ga and shinespark.ga are pointed to an IP 195.20.50.80 which is not associated with HelioHost. Please ensure these domains do not have redirects enabled, are registered, and have name servers set to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org.
Hitmaker Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 Alright, so ive tried it with another domain that already had a the nameservers set (vermilion.ga), and did also not ever have redirects. The domain was added successfully, so it seems unfortunately there is a problem on freenoms side, as the other domains do indeed have the correct settings in its interface. Thanks for looking into this so quickly.
