Hi,

I have a domain at OVH “myDomain.com” and I would like to have a permanent and invisible redirection to a Tommy server.

Is there a tutorial or any thread which could help me to create this redirection?

Many thanks for any help.

Best regards,

G

You don't really redirect it so much as you just need to configure the domain to use our service for its content.

The proper way to do this is to change the domain's nameservers to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org (you do this on OVH's website, contact them for help if needed, we don't know OVH's system so we can't explain the process), then add it to your Tommy account in cPanel under the Aliases option (let us know if you need help with this step, we'll be happy to!).

Many thanks for the feedback, I am going to try that and get back to you if (when) needed.

Have a nice week-end.

Hi,

Finally, I manages to change my DNS servers at OVH (now I have to wait up to 48 hours for the propagation):

In the DNS zone, I have an error saying that I am using Heliohost DNS servers and that I should use OVH ones. From what I understand, I have to set up the Alias in Heliohost Cpanel and then it should be ok (after the delay of 48 hours):

Next, I have created the Alias in Cpanel with my domain name:

greed-is-good.fr

At the moment, when I try to reach my domain it goes to:

http://www.greed-is-good.fr/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

I probably have to wait 48 hours the time for the propagation to be ok…

I hope that what I did make sense, your feedback would be great ;-)

Oups, I have just cleared the cache and now I can see my Hello world message from my Tommy server ;-)

It sounds ok, What do you think, is there anything more to change?
