Guest pooks Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 I don't know who to talk to about this, but I am assuming its a server issue: 1. Internal Server Error when trying to access any installed blog software2. It dosnt matter WHERE I install it, so it must be server related.3. So far I have only tried WP and TextPattern, but I don't want to go through the list when I almost know it has something to do with the server. Help me. I'm flustered and I am close to moving to a new host. :/
wolstech Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Check your file permissions. Php requires files be set to 644 in order for them to work, however they often upload as 664 (note the second 6) and need to be changed. Also, you can install Wordpress from Softaculous and you'd never need to touch the files at all
Guest pooks Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 I did both. I actually came here as a last resort. I was looking online for "Interval Server Error" and I tried everything but nothing worked. It doesn't matter WHERE I install it or even if it's through Softalous, the error still shows up.
wolstech Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Turns out there was an outage during the time you were probably playing with it. http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ Others reported the same issue here around the same time...https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/34846-500-internal-server-error/ It should be fixed now.
