Softaculous not showing available update

Hi,

 

I have a piece of software installed via Softaculous that I know needs an update (Softaculous also shows that the most recent version available for installation is a more recent version than the one I have installed) yet, the update is not showing up in my available updates list.

 

Is HelioHost able to help with this or should I contact Softaculous directly?

There a cron that does these update checks and sends reminder emails. It can take up to a month after the release is published to be notified in my experience.

I'm not worried about getting a reminder email. I don't even think I opted to get emails (it makes me login in to cPanel regularly which means I'm less likely to not login once every 30 days). Usually, when there is an update available it appears in my Outdated Installations list which it is not this time.

 

Any idea why?

Does softaculous actually have the newer version available? Also, is the version you have upgradeable to the latest version offered? If either of these is no, it won't offer the upgrade.

 

If both are yes, it's probably just a bug in softaculous.

To the best of my knowledge the answer to both questions is yes. Is it worth contacting Softaculous to report the bug?
