spectre1 Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Sometimes when i try to acces my website i get a database error saying that the site lost connection to the database, wondering if it is from something i did or a server problem.
wolstech Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 There's a ton of reasons this could happen. Too many connections or high load are the most common. Could also be MySQL crashing, which can happen if the server sees high load or MySQL gets abused. Also, are you running WordPress? I've seen database errors from that pile of junk just due the software being bloated from extensions (removing your extensions or replacing with something that's not WP fixes that).
spectre1 Posted August 17, 2018 Author Posted August 17, 2018 I am using wordpress but i am trying to optimize it as best as i can... but the errors are too frequent so i am really considering starting to write a site from scratch and leaving wordpress asside
