lensoft Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Hi!I have a really simple question, about WebDisk and its content. So, can i share my clud data with my clients? Can i create direct links to my files, like a download file for my funnycats.mp4 file, located (for ex.) in my WebDisk? Thanks for your help!Balázs, LenSoft
Flaze Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 The only thing that I think of is by going to http://webdisk.username.heliohost.org but you would need to login using your FTP account. I'm not sure creating a guest FTP account would work or not but even if it works, the visitor might have access to your personal files. EDIT: I haven't tried this yet but creating an FTP account for your clients might work since you can have a specific directory for them to access. This way, they can't access your personal files. 1
ziad87 Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 (edited) There should be a feature in cpanel called Anonymous FTP, maybe the admins could enable it. Or, you could simply drop the file into your public_html and direct them to example.com/file.ext Edited June 10, 2018 by ziad87 1
wolstech Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Put the files in public_html and send them a link to the folder where they are. Apache generates a directory listing by default if you don’t provide an index page or disable the listings, so they can see multiple things in the folder easily. If they need to upload, set up an ftp account for them. 1
