Frankie Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I found this under the title of "Vista source code leaked" http://i29.tinypic.com/10gidzr.jpg Notice the code randomly goes from C++ to Java and then back to C++ and returning a value in a void function.
ShannenName Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 This is meant to be a joke, it's not actually the Vista source code, take a close look at what it says. int totalNewFeatures = 3; int totalWorkingNewFeatures = 0; float numberOfBugs = 345889E+08; boolean readyForRelease= FALSE; Basically what that says is that the number of new features in Vista is 3, the number of those new features that are actually working is 0, the number of bugs is, well large, and it's not ready to be released.
Frankie Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 yeah, that was kinda hard to miss. I was just pointing out the transition between c++ and java code.
UndeadBob Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 That was pretty dumb. I still don't understand why vista gets such a bad rep. The only thing the antagonists will say is "vista just sucks..." and that's it.
Sungazer Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 lol i had a good laugh showed this to my coworkers who use vista... they had a good laugh, who cares if people say vista sux, if you like it thats all that should matter
Wizard Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 That was pretty dumb. I still don't understand why vista gets such a bad rep. The only thing the antagonists will say is "vista just sucks..." and that's it. Besides that very legit argument, the problems with Vista include that it eats memory more than any OS out there, it crashes a lot, and its backward compatibility is crap.
Doctor Steel Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 If Vista wasn't a dumbed-down, beaten-until-it-was-crippled OSX rip-off, I would use it. Same with Windows 7 - It appears to be to a desktop PC what the iPhone OS was. Ubuntu FTW
Sungazer Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 but seriously vista does have quite a few problems... and all of them are microsofts. the only thing that makes vista worth while in my eyes is DX10 and thats pushing it. when i actually upgrade my pc itll be a dual-boot with vista as the secondary gameing os. and i can say all that cause i program for a computer repair and customization shop, so i see busted/frozen/locked/crashed vista machines all the time.
Frankie Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 Yes, you may... Why do you need our permission to install an AV on your own computer?
Lilium Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Hahaha, I believe he was asking for opinions or suggestions. I suggest AVG 8. It's nice and fully compatible with Vista.
Wizard Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 may i get good free antivirus for vista? Yeah, it's called Linux.
das7002 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 You know I can not help but laugh at this yet you know what how do you know that it is not the real vista code I mean maybe it is
